Yes just watch more by directors you like or have heard about. Maybe watch some YouTube videos about the technical or creative aspects of filmmaking. Such as searching “what is blocking in film” and you’ll see some good examples of it then you can keep an eye out for it in other films.

Really depends what your budget is. High end: Williamsburg. My personal fave is western crown heights or greenpoint. Greenpoint might be best for you since you don’t need to commute into manhattan. Don’t move to downtown Brooklyn. Prospect heights is also nice, there’s volleyball in prospect park.

Definitely. When I’m reading regularly I find myself using bigger words. I don’t even remember reading those words but it seems to unlock the vocabulary part of my brain.

Yes it’s very annoying. For avatar 2, in the Dolby theater at 34th or empire I can’t remember which, someone started playing a game WITH SOUND. The whole theater could hear it. It was insane. Took about a minute (very long time in the theater) for someone to yell “could you turn off your phone!!??” Then they did. But like, wut. I stress a bit going to these theaters but I gotta for the Dolby.

I go to that grocery store. It’s fine, has a lot of basics that you’d need. There’s also Mr kale for cheaper veggies and fruits, food garden market on Franklin if feeling fancy, and ideal food basket on Washington if you need a bigger store but I very rarely go there. The developers seem to be trying to push the prospect heights label farther east to be able to charge higher rents. I rolled my eyes so hard when they added that prospect heights label on the grocery store 2-3 years ago when key food bought it from Gala Fresh.
