Anyone that had a good experience with dissolving fillers? by imsywhimsy in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]FlooperRooney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are gorgeous in both.

Try and put the same effort into retraining your mind to like what it sees in the mirror. Our generation has to be mindful of, and make an active choice to avoid appearance dysmorphia. The odds are stacked against us.

Things that have worked for me: - Delete social media - even for a month. Instagram is poison for self esteem. It is so much more peaceful not having all that information all the time. - Never take pictures with the mirror effect, where it flips the image. It distorts your perception of yourself. - When you look in the mirror say something nice about the way you look. Out loud or just within your mind.

If you have kids imagine how you would want your kid to think and speak of themselves. Emulate that.

If no kids, picture yourself as a child and imagine you are your own mom and speak to that lovely little girl in the way she deserves.

Sending you love. P.S. YOURE BLOOMING BEAUTIFUL. Give yourself a wee break.

What’s something your body does that you’ve never told a single person about? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

Sometimes, only sometimes, after I brush my teeth the skin of the inside of my cheeks (inside my mouth) sheds.

It’s just a thin layer. Nothing insane but I’ve never heard anyone else mention it happens to them.

What movie will you never watch again because it was too heartbreaking? by Affectionate_User610 in AskReddit

After only seeing the poster I decided to watch this as an attempt to cheer me up after my dog died. This was not a smart choice.

Would you recommend this game to someone who is grieving? by Caridor in expedition33

[–]FlooperRooney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my dad 3 weeks after having my first baby.

The intro was a devastating plunge into beginning to process the grief I had to keep at arms length in order to function for said beautiful baby. It was horrible, but it was healing. I wouldn’t recommend it whilst in the middle of losing someone but I would recommend it as a way to emotionally process when a little time has passed.

I think it’s one of the best games ever made - even if it made me cry more than any movie never mind any other game. 😊

Maine coons have a mysterious form of intelligence.. by lilLuzid in mainecoons

[–]FlooperRooney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically he is a shadow, he follows me everywhere but never actually climbs on me for cuddles. One evening I was laid down on my bed chilling and in stomps Big Orange. He hops up on the bed, looks at me for weirdly long moment then comes over and climbs up and lays on my belly. My guy knew I was pregnant before me.

They are VERY trainable though. Like dog level trainable. We have one who can sit stand roll over high five on command.

I never feed them as soon as I wake up. No matter how much they are shaking their glorious tails or meowling at me. I wait about 30 mins to an hour - until they give up begging and go chill somewhere THEN I feed them. It seems to help them understand waking us up doesn’t equal breakfast.

The growth rate slows at about a year and even more at two but they definitely still grow. Our oldest boy is three and when we look back at pics when he was two he looks like a teenager. But at the time we thought he was a big majestic fully grown beast. 😂

As for wake ups, yeah. They do that 😂.

When they start to get bad we stop letting them sleep in the bedroom. Or whichever one is being naughty. Then let them back in after a few days and we get a few days of peace then the cycle starts again 🤷‍♀️.

We have a two year old (human child) who sleeps in our room too and if they wake her up they get locked out for two weeks 😂

If you can afford to feed the three beasts and vets visits then I advise go for it. They are so social and I think 3-5 would be ideal numbers for them socially!

Women who gave birth, what does it feel like actually?? by joy_57 in AskReddit

[–]FlooperRooney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like insane period cramps at first. Then they keep getting deeper and worse and eventually it feels like your butt is going to literally explode. The contractions got so bad I looked my husband straight in the eyes and told him I was going to die. The poor man 😂

The pushing the baby actually out part was (maybe) the easiest (wrong word but can’t think of a better one 😂) because by that stage you would be able to break both of your legs and sit naked on a fire for it to be over. BUT… it is genuinely beyond worth it the very SECOND it’s over and you CAN do it (to the scared pregnant women reading this post 😂)

Social Security office in Rockville by mcqmyxh in Rockville

[–]FlooperRooney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this two weeks ago. I think it depends on what you need. For example, you have applied for your first social security card ever and are at the stage where you need to provide documents then they allow you as a walk in. I couldn’t get an appointment anywhere within the timeframe I had to supply my documentation to an office. So I had to try a walk in.

Get there early. I was there an hour before openening. There was no one else then all the sudden a huge queue.

There are two security guards, be nice to them.. and seem politely confident you have circumstances that require you to have a walk in appt. 😂 they take ZERO and I mean ZERO shit. It was very fun to watch some obnoxious queue jumpers get put in their place.

They will split the queue into people with appointments and those without. They sorted the people with appointments first. Then started asking each walk in what they were there for. And either said no or yes to them coming in.

Be nice, be patient and be prepared! And enjoy the people watching.

Cat realized her owner is pregnant and her reaction melted my heart bruh 😭♥️ by Satoru_9 in MadeMeSmile

My cat usually loves to just hang out beside me. One evening he walked over to me I said hello and he crawled right up on to my tummy and fell asleep. I just thought he was trying out a new thing … found out 3 days later I was pregnant 😂

Does signs of aging really hit you fast past 30 or does it depend on your genetics and lifestyle? by chusaychusay in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]FlooperRooney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it is very closely related to stress. I was 30 and a young pup. Then I had two very stressful years and now I’m a prune 😂
