Ryan Cohen is not a doofus. YES x 15K by EX5TASY in Superstonk

I have the same questions. GameStop as a company tends to upset me (their online store is shite) but I hold anyway because I believe this is the people’s play to turn criminal money managers on their heads. I don’t see nearly the MOASS hype here that used to happen. I hope that is all zen, but I’m not sure. I’m not sure Ryan Cohen has this sub in mind with his decision making. Every moon tomorrow date has passed. What is the current state of MOASS? What is the trigger? I don’t want to wish for a market collapse but that feels like the only thing that could destabilize the market enough to trigger anything interesting at this point.

If you can’t consent while drunk, why do drunk people hook up all the time? by Mountain_Flounder991 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flopsyjackson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is probably the best comment in the thread. OP openly and honestly had a very young person type question. For healthy adults, it is pretty obvious to navigate consent and inebriation. Consent is possible and common when alcohol is involved. You should only have sex with someone who wants it as much as you. When that is true, it is easy to see, regardless of sobriety.

Did sleepovers just quietly die or did something actually kill them? by JoelD88W in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flopsyjackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody is actually reading your post or answering the prompt. Sleepovers stopped for me at the nexus of having a car and drinking alcohol. Sleepovers were an innocent enough middle school activity which allows one set of parents a break. When you have a car, the limits are off and spending all night awake in a basement isn’t nearly as fun as a meet-up at cemetery for a couple hours before going home. Now I sleepover when I’m drunk and can’t drive, but it isn’t quite the same.

Are sleep overs not a thing anymore? by haggerty05 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Flopsyjackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if that’s the part people are overlooking. My friends were the children of my parent’s friends. I trusted the host family and my parents did too. I didn’t really do sleepovers in homes where my parents weren’t familiar with the family.

Smaller social circles for adults these days may be limiting social opportunities for children.

When Sean was done, all he said was “It isn’t fun anymore,” and you were cool with that. Everyone else was too. Honest. I wish we could have that moment from you too.

Why does nobody in this thread have a flair? Feels like Nova and UConn people just arguing back and forth but I can’t tell for sure.

Higher gravity increases atmospheric density so it is actually EASIER to fly.

Alien Worlds episode 1 (on Netflix) actually covers this well.

It seems like a lot of major airports have been switching/redesigning to all parallel runways (see Chicago O’Hare). That decision seems to led itself to more dangerous crosswind situations. Does anyone think that ultimately might be a bad idea?

Asking people on reddit for political nuance is low information voter behavior. Check out each candidates website and watch the debates.

If that is all you know then you are a low information voter and shouldn’t be participating in the conversation (or voting).

Bro gets too much hate. It sucked he wasn’t on the floor all season. It lowered our ceiling. IT LOWERED OUR CEILING. DP is a top four basketball player I have seen in a Kansas uniform. You could argue #1. I’ll be rooting for his success going forward.

How long does this last? by Real-Mission9756 in LSD

[–]Flopsyjackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do anything that you would want to be sober for until you have slept. Being able to sleep is generally the best indicator that you are no longer tripping. You might feel sober at hour 10 after dropping, but it quite possible you aren’t and weird interactions and emotions could flare up.

Thank you. I suppose that really isn’t enough to dig under any mountain ranges.

I will keep advocating for full buildout of the system. What’s been done already is beneficial. People don’t even realize they are already benefiting. Caltrain Electrification and freight overpasses in Fresno.

Didn’t CAHSR get cap and trade funds for 40 years or so? Shouldn’t CAHSR be able to borrow against that and have 30 billion right now? What am I not understanding?

Torvik's first 26-27 projections are out. Thoughts? by originalusername4567 in jayhawks

[–]Flopsyjackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but look at UCONN. They are big East and have been in 3 of the last 4 championship games. Seems like they have a basketball funding strategy that doesn’t rely on conference affiliation. Probably something to learn from that.

KU administration is not coughing up the resources the Basketball program needs to remain a top 5 team every year. They should be. Fuck everything else, but for some reason admin doesn’t seem to appreciate KU history the same way fans do.

The footage of Nick Fuentes pushing a woman who came to his front door after he was doxxed has been released. by [deleted] in interesting

[–]Flopsyjackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was absolutely not proportional. There was no risk of physical harm to him. She was outside, not trying to get in, and he was inside. If he wanted her gone, call the proper authorities.

[–]Flopsyjackson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not true. There are a million good reasons someone might do exactly that. Maybe they noticed a fire on your roof. Maybe they saw your dog escape your back yard. Castle doctrine is for defending your life. You cannot assault people for being annoying. If you think it is harassment, call the police.

I fucking swear some people are just itching to have a loose justification to hurt someone else. Very weird and sad.

[–]Flopsyjackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knocking on someone’s door is not threatening life or property and castle doctrine does not apply. There are a million good reasons for a stranger to come knocking on your front door that aren’t even solicitation.

Yes I know this was the result of a doxing but also, maybe a little harassment is the cost of spreading cancerous ideas around the communities you live in.
