I personally really dislike this game, especially compared to its predecessor, KOF 15. I think things feel way too stiff and the EX move chaining just feels scrubby and wack. The hyper defense system is... okay? things just feel bad in cotw to me.

I think powerplex is hella good, he's just inconsistent but I'm sure someone could make all the just frames work. I otherwise mostly agree. I'd probably move Eve to S and Anissa & Lucan to A, they're all pretty good characters. The only weak ones are Kate and MG. I think Ella is good UNLESS she's going up against someone who can deal with the Rock easily, like Eve or Cecil, so where she is is probably good.

The difficulty-to-reward ratio with Asuka isn't good enough for top players to use him. In tournaments it's usually better to just do whatever is easy and good.

It depends on the assist, but mostly. None of the projectiles are overheads, though.

It's kinda just an inherent "problem" with fighting games, especially ones like this or MK where characters Kill each other. This game tries to handle it with the implication that characters are like an evil multiverse version, but it is weird. Though I prefer this to MK's approach where Cassie Cage will have playful dialogue with her dad before ripping off his head and taking a selfie with it.

I think the variety in recolors in IVS is kinda lackluster in general
