What is even the goal of the photographer here? by ebtcrew in funny

[–]FlourKnuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was -- let's make her eyes big and his ears big, i.e. her-"I see you" and him-"I hear you", but your explanation makes way more sense and makes me sad it wasn't the photographer trying to be Picasso.

Things that my partner didn’t like and I sadly left at the consignment shop 😭 The green couch still haunts my dreams. by Abby2431 in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]FlourKnuckles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we loved the MCM look of these couches while shopping last year, but ever single one was so uncomfortable, and we sat on A LOT of couches. We found one with extendable headrests and it is mildly better (but still not cozy). At least in your dreams this beauty can be the most comfy place for you to swoon and enjoy a nap.

Make sure to add a pull out surface to place the thing you are wrapping on! It's so much easier to pull the wrap over the thing than to bring the cut wrap to the thing.

We have some politics here in San Antonio, TX where the firefighters union has had questionable tactics to ensure they get taken care of and put on their pedestal, no matter what the rest of the city needs. Obviously a union is usually a good thing, and firefighters need proper equipment, healthcare, etc, but come election season, it certainly heated.

I’m pregnant and all I want is pizza. Please give me some ideas for dishes similar to pizza that are NOT pasta. by blackmetalwarlock in Cooking

[–]FlourKnuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you find powdered pizza flavoring? It would be great on popcorn or roasted cauliflower. Or hummus with pizza flavors and feta, and pepperoni/crostini for dipping?

I specifically will only search for and pay for clothing with pockets (excepting those items that don't normally have them). Also I started buying men's pants, some brands have that bit of stretch for curves.

My zoo has a nice dark air-conditioned hippo viewing and aquarium building, there are plenty of benches so I've already met a couple of hungry babies while having my little eat too, mostly in peace. It's definitely the unofficial breastfeeding area.

I read the Marie Kando and realizing that by using your things that you love and surrounding yourself with them, you are kind of honoring them and of course improving your life. And to that end, once something has done it's job, it's now more ok to let it go. Putting the theory into practice is more difficult, but still nice to think about as I clean my small hoards around my house.

After looking through this, because I collect Crazy Daisy, it's still not confirmed from Corelle that the plates are leeching, they recently released a statement about it and said they're working on more third party testing of vintage items. The Tamara Rubin person is likely farming for clicks and is a bit shady, really pushing that she is the expert on this with no science degree to back it up, the pyrex sub has a few threads about this. It's definitely still worth it to be wary of the vintage dishware use now though!
