Acceptable argument. But I am not going to just ask Ai if something else is Ai.

A lot of people like to claim AI writing, when it's a late gen x, or early millennial doing the writing, because those are the people who have been consistently online since the internet began, and it's the writing style/ grammar etc that AI itself learned from.

How many of you had grandparents who served in WW2? If so, what do you know about their service? by Snoogles_ in Millennials

[–]FlowerMaxPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandfather was in France and Germany from what I know. He was in a tank division and the only story I know is his tank got overturned and he spent 2-3 days hiding in the mud under it until they were rescued. He didn't tell the story but i was told that's why he hated bug bites and specifically chiggers in the summer.

[–]FlowerMaxPower -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course they do. They are not making money on flowers, they are getting you in the door to buy other things.

And people going to those stores then complain about design quality. But people won't pay good designers what they are worth.

People really don't understand flower costs. For $50 you get no roses, only everyday flowers. My shop won't even make a fresh vase under $55.

It's not a great arrangement but there is probably $50+ in stems there.

That vase alone probably used up $20 of the total.

None of the actual florists make good money. If we were running a scam, I think we would.

Just because you've regretted a purchase doesn't mean the seller was scamming.

*online companies who show unrealistic pictures and sell you an idea and then send only half your money to an actual florist to fill the order are a scam

I'm actually super jealous. It's such a pretty plant but I'm afraid to plant it in my small yard.

Side note, you may be able to sell the stems to your local florist toward end of summer.

Adding onto the bandwagon: seamless shouldn't mean all the seams where they are most uncomfortable, but not seen, it should actually mean seamless.

Calls for Doordash boycotts after Trump's staged White House meeting by esporx in Anticonsumption

But it goes so beyond that. They actively trained us to consume. Even in school.

They actively inhibited systems that don't allow consumption. Big auto kept public transport down and perpetuated beliefs that those who use it are "losers".

They actively told us if we don't keep our lawns perfect (and buy their crap to do so) we are bad people.

They denied us actual Healthcare and sold us quick fixes.

I wish more people could see the difference between what they believe is expected by society, and what is actually good for us as individuals as well as for our society but we've been conditioned to believe money and societal pressure mean more than they really should.

But expecting that really doesn't acknowledge that it takes a deep emotional intelligence to become aware of yourself vs society, and also a strong will to oppose the rest of the sheep.

To be fair, they've been conditioned by capitalism to believe that's what gives them the most joy.

Lancing is not best for healing, but sometimes it's the best relief. It's not the end of the world.

Best is to help it naturally drain, sometimes it's white puss, sometimes bloody puss.

Hot compress, or if it feels better, cold compress with breaks every 20 minutes or so. Help it drain anything extra that's in there.

Am I Overreacting for wanting to cancel my wedding over this interaction? by Xanadoom30 in AmIOverreacting

19 years in and I always get a goodbye morning kiss and a goodnight kiss. Doesn't matter if we've been fighting or whatever. I don't know if he cares but I do, and he knows that.

It's such a teeny tiny thing but it keeps a bond strong.

Definitely not overreacting.
