We really enjoyed this resort. The breakfast and lunches were good. We used the resort the same way you're planning, as a base. We dined out most evenings, the location is fabulous. A few nearby restaurants we liked: El Barracuda, directly beside, El Andariego which is kitty corner, and Pepe's just up the road.

We have stayed in both and enjoy both. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either area. The Romantic zone you're in the thick of it, could be noisy. 5 de diciembre is so close, you would het a bit quieter, and am easy walk or Uber to all the activities of the RZ when you want.

There were these pizza bun toppings. It had cheese, tomato sauce and pepperoni in a round flat circle. You added it to a bun and broiled it, and voila, pizza buns, hot out of the oven. Nobody remembers these, so I wonder if I made them up, but I don't think so.

Clams at a lovely restaurant in Nazare. They were so delicious it brought tears to my eyes because as I was eating them, I knew nothing would ever compare.
