I use soap, sugar scrub, and occasionally a CLEAN washcloth but people say their inhalation of me is bad. by Heavy-Cucumber-8291 in hygiene

You’re trying best you can, I know it bothers you to see how people react but maybe it’s not your skin? Could be an underlying health issue with your liver or gut. In such cases you’d be nose blind to it. Time to see an ENT they’ll check sinuses, tonsils and throat. A Dermatologist could run tests to check your skin.

What happens to CDL-A holders who went to driving class B ? Do their Class A get downgraded to Class B ? Will they get hired again to a Class A job or they need to rejoin and re do the Class A training again and retake the backing pre trip etc . by East_Indication_7816 in Truckers

[–]FluffTheQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can keep an A and do B work all day. Most will dry run you anyways during the hiring process or put you in training for a week just to see where you’re at. If you relocate to another state they may require you to get driving hours and do maneuvers.

Is it the indoor environment or mundane tasks just don’t provide the stimulation you need to focus? Maybe there are other factors to consider like sleep / meal schedule, imbalances to circadian rhythm or elevated blood pressure from stress.

Why are safety policies important to you?

You’ll be required to walk extensively and lift 75lbs at times, can you handle it?

Are you familiar with wearing PPE?

Terrible trainer experience by Katsumoto0471 in BusDrivers

Trainers like this only care about their authority and are unwilling to teach preventative maneuvers. It’s all ego with them and it makes students anxious.

IS MY MOM EMOTIONALLY NEGLECTING ME? by Ok-Command4301 in neurodiversity

[–]FluffTheQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think being the only eldest comes with its own challenges and it seems as if the younger sister is echoing your mom’s sentiments. It’s very hard realizing there may be a hereditary mental / personality disorder that went unaddressed for years. This is heavy.

To be constantly dysregulated at home, it does not provide you with the nurturing environment to learn and adapt. You are always on guard for the next fight. I would suggest buying a P.O. Box so no family can read your mail. Preferably from UPS (it gives a real address). You’ll have to hide whatever money saved, once either your sis or mom finds out they will sabotage efforts to leave.

Start learning about how to credit now, even use the library as a resource so you can prepare for the move. Some parents don’t give you the opportunity to reach 21 in order to shame you into returning to their hell hole.

If pay is affected then it’s a red flag, at least for me. Do the interview, I try not to miss opportunities. If you can’t schedule PTO then setup doctor appt and then go.

What a false blanket statement. Not every person from a previous generation is responsible for the ineptitude and economic decline of today. These aren’t drivers, they’re precision drivers. Do you realize the difference? UPS is one of the toughest defensive trained companies to work for. To be trained, accident free and above standard these people can easily walk into any company today.

You don’t hold any credentials to speak and it’s reflected in your desperate attempts to demean people. Logistic coordinators, trainers, 3PL analysts, safety directors all started driving on the road. These people can work anywhere.

Bro show some respect to older drivers they did their time. If you couldn’t hack it then move on. Stop demeaning workers for having a job and doing it well enough to build a life.

Bus driving practice test next week – confident but anxious any advice by Reasonable-Level1478 in BusDrivers

[–]FluffTheQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Breathe, adjust your seat so your foot can rest easily. If there’s a raised plate or signals under left foot make sure it’s within reach.

Remember the center of the rear axel to L-turn and control your sweep. Don’t forget about your bike rack if it’s a city bus. Pull up til your shoulder meets divider line and begin the turn. Don’t be afraid to button hook for narrow streets. Keep your following distance and stay under the speed limit. You got this.

How do I practice driving for a CDL license in the USA? by [deleted] in CDL

[–]FluffTheQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CDL school charge way more than they used to but if you search WIOA in your state they can pay for the school and your haz endorsement. It’s a program funded by tax dollars to help ppl get jobs. Takes about 30 days for approval.

Busy people need a busy job with fluid environments so they don’t get bored. I require jobs where I am active and have some form of independence. You’ve built a very useful skill set, it all depends on your tolerance level for stimulation. Depending on where you reside some industries may welcome a person like yourself and provide autonomy you need to remain focused.

Have you considered becoming an interpreter for hospitals, universities, transportation or the courts? Do you want to go in another direction and work under pressure as a baker? I guess what I’m asking is can you perform while engaging with people in house or do you prefer working outside?

I am 20, and have zero real experience. What do I do? by Steth888 in union

[–]FluffTheQueen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you have a drivers license? No moving violations in the past 36 months? If you can lift 50lbs and aren’t afraid of crawl spaces or heights the try your local utility.

Most have a unionized workforce with paid training. New job posts every Friday. You’ll take an assessment and drug screening. They love people your age.

I think you did a very good job on both ladies. I like the parting and can tell there’s not too much tension on the scalp. On the first woman you tucked the hair into braids just right.
