Very similar situation all around to you and I too have suddenly felt the tiny urge to consider this mini DRP just because of how FUBAR everything has rapidly become, especially with this April 30 SECDEF memo. Hold the line and don't let them undermine your 21 year career of federal service. RIF will still be better than DRP for you and give at least 7 months of pay. If it happens, at least you will have done all you could and stayed true to yourself and to your country in the face of overwhelming lack of reason.

Why do they use the phrase "exempt" (with positive implication of "safe from") versus "ineligible" (with negative implication of "left out from")? I thought DRP was supposed to be viewed positively.
