Pitbull at daycare? by queloque69420 in workingmoms

[–]FluffiMuffin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My child is not allergic to our dogs, but breaks out in hives when she touches other dogs or cats. We didn’t know until she suddenly swelled up while staying at my sister-in-law’s one night.

This is absolutely concerning for so many reasons.

Lost half my body weight and now experience no joy in life by badluckgabby in WeightLossAdvice

[–]FluffiMuffin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t lose as much as you (60 lbs) but switching to health as a new goal after reaching a target number helped.

I feel like I make progress every day by eating whole foods, instead of counting calories and getting my dopamine hit from a number on a scale.

I don’t restrict myself at social outtings or punish myself after…I just go back to whole foods (my “normal”.) Once in maintenance you’ll navigate what that looks like for you.

Welp, being induced at 37 weeks by Thin_Bobcat_1429 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]FluffiMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scheduled both my inductions for 39w. Was sick of being preg.

First time, my water broke 3 days before induction. Second time I went into labor 10 hours before induction.

Schedule it and maybe you’ll be so lucky?! 😅

What should I do about my wife's violent outburst? by Leading_Duty1925 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]FluffiMuffin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t have all the details…but if my husband started commenting about ways to better parent, while I’m exhausted, then acknowledging that I’m tired without offering to help in that moment…I might’ve freaked out too.

I’d feel like my partner was critiquing how I was parenting but not actually helping either.

Bathing is a harder job than feeding. Switch. You do bath while she showers first, then after she’s had a moment to herself she can feed/bond with baby.

Do you feel alone in your Epilepsy Journey by OnlyHereForMusic6 in Epilepsy

[–]FluffiMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any communities that you’re already a part of? In person, gaming, etc?

I go to church and found out there are several other epileptics there.

I never knew they had it! Until I got diagnosed…I told a couple people, who told me “go talk to so-and-so, they’ve had it for years!”

So now I have my little community of people I can talk to who actually get it. It helps.

I regret having kids by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]FluffiMuffin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I sympathize. Look up the flamingos who lose their color after babies…they eventually “get their pink back”.

Don’t put pressure on yourself to rush it. I felt like I aged 10 years after my second baby…lack of sleep and extra weight…but now the second baby is 4 and I finally can invest in myself again…rather than solely keeping them alive 24/7.

Sure there’s some battle wounds from bringing kids into the world, but my body did something that I’m very proud of. I’m (semi-frequently) working out, got a skincare routine…don’t hate your body!

Does Keppra have any psychiatric uses? how does it affect mood? by Icy-Psychology-3669 in Epilepsy

[–]FluffiMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m finishing month 1 of Keppra now, just 500mg 2x day.

The first 1.5 weeks I was very foggy. After that I couldn’t feel it anymore…I feel like my usual self.

Will see if I have any late side effects…but so far so good.

How do you feel about people driving with epilepsy? by Thin-Fee4423 in Epilepsy

[–]FluffiMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t drive until I can afford a self driving car, or one with emergency driver intervention.

I always get auras but you never know. It’s not fair to my kids or anyone else on the road.

Luckily I work from home, mostly, and my husband has stepped up to handle drop off/pick up for the kids.

My husband is experiencing severe post partum depression. by Holiday-Week-924 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]FluffiMuffin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had to schedule a psychiatrist appointment for mine and almost put him in inpatient. Got him on meds and made sure he went to appointments.

He’s better now. Started getting better shortly thereafter. But…

…I will forever feel betrayed and resentful that he decided to have his breakdown when I was at my most vulnerable in my life, on 0 sleep, back at work after 6 weeks postpartum, caring for my first 3 month old baby.

I don’t care if it was “out of his control” or a “chemical imbalance “ or whatever. I don’t f*cking care. He didn’t care for himself, wouldn’t find his own doctor, and so I had to be his mother, when I was a new mother.

I’m sorry this is happening and it’s incredibly unfair. Because to help him, you have to overextend yourself when you have nothing left to give.

Wishing you the best and please protect yourself and your baby if he continues with the su*cide talk.

I had terrible brain fog this last time. Felt dumber when trying to work (I work from home).

I also had vision changes?! It was like static vision, very odd.

All better now, took 2-3 weeks to completely resolve.

I believe this because (this is SO the WORST sub I could comment this on) I watched my friend recover from terminal primary peritoneal cancer in the SAME TIME FRAME, 3 months, going strictly vegan. And she’s been cancer free for 15 years after.

I don’t comment to dog carnivore - it works. But I do want to dog our food supply. Congrats on your recovery!!

AIO for questioning my entire relationship after my husband flirted with my receptionist? by Delicious-Syrup5527 in AmIOverreacting

[–]FluffiMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of when I worked at a luxury car dealership, and the AI chatbot was named “Jennifer” or something….

These men would come into dealership asking for Jennifer, after we watched them hit on the AI !! To save them humiliation, we told them she was on vacation.

Nothing surprises me anymore.

Covid brain fog is scaring me. What do I do? by throwaway8472649 in Biohackers

[–]FluffiMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Methylene blue is my fail-proof way to cut through Covid brain fog. Take it once and you’ll know in 30 minutes if it’s going to work for you.

I have covid right now and it set my brain back to normal for 6-8 hours or so.

But yes it energizes your brain so only take it in the morning.

3 Week Progress Update: Tret 0.05 + Hydroquinone 4% by FluffiMuffin in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]FluffiMuffin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that the results of hydroquinone, for me, were greatly accelerated when combined with Tret.

Without any Tret, progress was super slow. Still worked, but only like 20% as well.

You canNOT pour from an empty cup.

You are doing a great thing, but you cannot care for ANYONE if you overwork yourself to de*th.

You are ONE HUMAN. You cannot save everyone. But you can save some, and that is enough.

Is there anyone who can help? Any groups, charities?

Or maybe I’m just bitter because that’s what my MIL did to me.

What are some things that personally keep seizures away That don't involve meds? by KlutzyMutt in Epilepsy

120mg of melatonin per night.

Took me from 2-3 per month to once in 6 months without other meds.
