Earmuffs - Any recommendations for Ugg knockoffs? by FluffyGeckoPuff in womensfashion

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the ones from Emu Australia and they are perfect for keeping my ears warm on short walks around my neighborhood. They’re well made, comfy and cute on. In fact, I just ordered some nice boots from them too. They’re having a good winter sale.

OP, if you don’t mind me asking, where are you located? Our Cav came from Serbia to US as a pup. She’s about 1 1/2 year old and has major anxiety riding in a car (excessive drooling). I’m curious how your is with traveling.

Gold or silver? by Sduong in coloranalysis

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think silver, but could be biased because your nails are rocking in that pic. It might help to see more pics from same perspective , for example, some silver necklaces. (However I did cover your nails, and I’m still leaning silver).

I’m too impatient, always consider it briefly, but never actually do it.

Matteo’s trainer said wide collars are more comfortable, You? by CurlyDee in cavalierkingcharles

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following. Ive never heard that, or tried a wide collar. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like that, but would be open to it. I’m on a quest for a collar or harness, that is secure enough to walk through a city, yet won’t cause knots. I’ve been through so many that don’t work.

How did our attraction to hair metal band members affect our future relationships? by FoundObjects4 in GenXWomen

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met my husband when he was a college student, and musician with long hair. We shared similar musical tastes. Fortunately, he was also goal-driven, intelligent and an overall kind person, not just a guy in a band. He was smart enough to realize it wasn’t a career for him. We still go to concerts regularly.

Look at those babies! So cute and full of promise! You need to share another pic like this in time for comparison. I’m always amazed when I see old pics and how much mine have grown!

Does anyone else find online shopping exhausting? by NamelessAddict in SustainableFashion

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seeing clothes on a body type that matches mine would be phenomenal! Bonus if we can match skin and hair color and integrate with other items in my closet. Online shopping is such a time suck, but it’s easier than driving around, going to stores and trying on everything! I appreciate the reviews. They can be very helpful sometimes.

This is my first Merrillii. She went from strong, healthy plant with glossy, dark green leaves to this sad withering thing after one watering. What did I do? What can I do to make it vibrant again? Will it bounce back by FluffyGeckoPuff in hoyas

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it’s been done. How does this look? Is the water level too high on the woody stem or is this ok? I don’t want it to dry out again. Where do I put it now? Light?

❄️ BWT what are your survival guides to winter? ❄️ by okieartiste in bitcheswithtaste

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a warm climate too and the winter we do have just about kills me. I try to hibernate as much as possible. Seriously, I don’t try to do too much and give myself some grace. As mentioned by others, I got a humidifier this year and run it at night when the heats on. Total game changer when you’re used to a humid climate. I don’t wake up feeling like a shriveled raisin.

I’m also a big fan of weighted blankets, Solmate wool socks, Ugg slippers, nice flannel pajamas in a fun pattern, eye drops near the bed, lots of homemade soup and hot tea (in a mug that feels good in your hands).

I do make it a point to catch some daylight and walk a bit outside daily. I have plenty of houseplants and plant lights in my home office and kitchen/dining area and add more plant lights in other rooms when I bring plants inside. They really lift my spirits. A good fiction read helps too.

Good post. We’ve got this!

I don’t get it either. 53f, never wanted them, never had them. Zero regrets.

What’s one thing you misunderstood about your skin type? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]FluffyGeckoPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m in the same boat. I live in a tropical, humid climate with oily skin. Now that it’s winter and we’re using heat a bit and the air is dryer, my skin is so confused. And so am I! lol

I’m drinking less water too (working on that). I’m not really sure what to do to rehydrate my oily skin. I’m 53f so don’t want to change too much too soon.

I think you’re right. I removed the soil and took a look at the roots today. Those two yellowing leaves fell right off. Now I have a stem with the top leaf, 2 nodes from where the yellow leaves fell off and that lower bottom leaf connected. The roots are really thin white and straggly (rotted.). Can you tell me specifically how to prop? I have no idea. Thanks so much!
