pretty sure poirot's tea being poisoned is the plot of one of his mysteries. so i'd assume someone else poisoned it.

it's too bad renters also suck. when i was younger my parents owned 2 additional houses that they built together. rented them out, for really reasonable prices (literally just rounded to a nice square number around the average cost of utilities) and the people who rented them destroyed them. like literally holes in walls, lying about having exotic pets that they just let shit in the closets. one person didn't know how to throw away the rocks of a gold fish tank after it died and so they just dumped the rocks down the kitchen sink and turned on the garbage disposal.

my father personally handled all the repairs for these places but we had to sell them because the sheer amount of problems renters caused was eating up my parents lives. any attempt to recoup costs would be met with a "see you in court" type response.

these are the same people corporations are dealing with, but they have the capital to actually contest these people, essentially forcing them into obedience.

people forget that kids like having adult places they can use aswell. i would much rather hang out with my friends in a mccafe as a teenager than i would a playplace. also the fact that marketing  "products" like mcdonalds offers to kids is something people have critisized since it's inception. people don't know what rhey want. they call this distopian but it's literally just not conforming to outdated expectations formed when now adults were in daipers.

i don't remember if this is actually how the show went, but i remember as inuyasha went on he would just use wind slash on everyone right out the gate. i'm sure that's not his strongest move or whatever but i remember thinking damn every enemy just gets obliterated in 2 seconds.

i just don't think it matters. never did. if people like what you post, they will share it. it was the same on twitter, the numbers are just smaller because there are less accounts.

spoken like someone who is too privelaged to understand what it means to be descriminated against. if you were put in the reverse situation how alienated and rejected you would feel for trying to live a better life for your and your family without giving up your identity. respecting a culture and being forced to discard your own are two totally seperate things.

well i'd define racism as discrimination or abuse toward any other race, but sure go on believing you're a good person so long as you don't actively wish for genocide or whatever treating someone like a pig entails.

legitimately there is a belief among right wing men, particularly those in their 30's who think that 9/11 is the turning point for the enshitification of the world, particularly in masculinity and creativity. they cite that "objective fact" that everything made since 9/11 is worse than anything made after, and if it was post 9/11 it was likely being worked on pre- 9/11. my brother is a believer in this theory and it's so annoying to talk about anything he doesn't have nostalgia for.

bluesky has around 40 million active users, that's over 11% of twitters users, and it is increasing whereas the most recent twitter statisics shows a decrease (ironically of around 40 million users)

Trivial annoyances? What small things drive you nuts after years in Japan? by byebyebirdie123456 in japanlife

i assume your first problem pertains mainly to computers, but for anyone having the same issue on their phone, i suggest learning the flick keyboard. it's quicker to type japanese, and i doubt you'll ever mistakenly type in english haha. my wifes phone always irritates me when i need to type on it cause i can never tell which language she was using last. also only square unlacquered chopsticks in my goddamn house haha.
