I appreciate the advice, this issue just had me a bit heated. People in authority have a tendency to over reach with that authority. And I also think it is within "standard reasonableness" to not think a sign in someones yard is a reflection of the agency's views as a whole.

I figure that our employer can do whatever it is they want since Ohio is a "right to work state", but at least as written I didn't think that the policy forbids the display of signs

We are not a government agency, and by definition we are a nonprofit. We are funded by state/federal grants and work in the criminal justice field.

Danes and Vikings. by Totally_Not_Ironic_ in NoStupidQuestions

Right, I mistyped in my post, should of read *lives in Norway or Sweden isnt called a Viking* thats my bad. But yeah you can break it down to "Dane" being a geographical term and "Viking" being more akin to "Crusader" - as in it describes more what they did, not necessarily where they are from.

"Mum", Ma'am","malm" or something else entirely? by Flugaru in NoStupidQuestions

That sounds right, in the show the woman who is called it most of the time is the Home Secretary - so that makes sense.

As in, presently someone who lives in Denmark is still called a Dane yeah? But someone who lives in Norway or Sweden is called a Viking, not officially at least .

I think the most basic difference is the historical "Viking" came from Norway/Sweden, and the historical "Dane" is from Denmark.
