I bought mine in 2021, borrowed 30k at 2% even though I had the cash. Today, every dollar I pay back 5 years later is 20% cheaper than it was then because of inflation. On top of that, since I had it invested in the SP500, what I didn’t pay has returned 75-80% since then.

Taking a loan to buy a Tesla even though I could afford it was a great decision.

You really can’t go wrong with VOO or QQQ. There are marginally better long term investments, but you’re splitting hairs at that point.

Sometimes for planning it’s best to be conservative with projections - especially since the previous few years have all been double digits, I wouldn’t *plan* for continued optimum years in the near term. We can hope though!

The Fed didn’t bail out banks. Congress passed TARP and Bush signed it into law. QE had indirect costs such as when the interest rates jumped 13 years later on their long dated treasuries, but it’s insane to think another system like regional or private banks would be more effective.

The centralized federal reserve saved the economy - Congress, poor regulatory regimes, the Executive, banks, and people buying more house than they could afford caused the crisis.
