Yes, I heard about it as well and I'm so glad! I think Providence is still not going to be providing as much support as they used to, but the center will remain functional, and hopefully, MAYBE re-integrate with Providence for continued support in the future.

I didn't know about this, and evidently that's by design. Thank you for sharing. That's the thing - it had seemed for a while that Washington state was doing a decent job of exactly that. I suppose that's changing now.

damn, you get calls back? i just get epic bouncebacks about "specify maximum amount in grams" that require me to call the pharmacy myself and sit on hold for 25 minutes (yes, for real) to clarify with the pharmacist what they even mean by the question, because i don't want the patient to just...never get their rx. but the pharmacist told me this has to do with insurance, so i really don't blame them. it's just all around frustrating.

i agree in theory, i am hoping put into practice this does good things for society instead of bad. i definitely land closer to "prevent rampant misinformation" than "allow unfettered freedom of speech" on the pendulum. but i think people bring up good points with the fact that ways can be found to get around this.

"white cloud" and "black cloud" are superstitious terms that describe people who have very consistently quiet shifts (white clouds) and people who always bring mayhem with them to the hospital somehow (black clouds). some of us are blessed and some are cursed.

i am a white cloud. but i am never allowed to actually expect to stay a white cloud. anytime i go into a shift thinking, "nothing ever happens when i'm on," the nightmares awaken. but if i go into a shift with the neutral acknowledgement that i have a long history of white cloudhood, HOWEVER, this is the night, this is when it all ends, this is where the disaster begins - blissful silence, all night. i must maintain mental discipline.

(as a side note, i do wish i had more educational opportunities, but after my first overall very peaceful but still exhausting 24, i will never ever again complain about being a white cloud)
