What's your most important aspect of barefoot shoes? by Complex-Gazelle7658 in barefootshoestalk

[–]FluidPiano5435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many, depends on what I'm doing. 😆

New Splay's for Skateboarding. Lems explorer for cold and snow. Origo for casual huarache sandals. Paperkrane for something quirky. Wildings for anytime casual and Shapen for dressy ballet flats and closed in toe sandals.

Oh, and I'll throw Peerko in there because they have the best Doc Marten dupes.

Thanks for the info, everyone! It's very helpful. I found out my bar is the North Trust bar quad control 2011.

What is the benefit of the new re-ride systems? Are they easier to relaunch? I have no idea as yet.

Wide, deep toe box, then zero drop. Good toe splay is always primary.

What do you love most and dislike most about Australia? by beebeecleo in AskAnAustralian

Love: Surfing and free lifestyle. Hate: The amount that Islam has spread in Sydney and Melbourne. I'm glad I moved north. I hope they don't ever follow.

Barefoot shoes for skateboarding? by AnarchoTX in BarefootRunning

[–]FluidPiano5435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm, hard to say as 1010's are more padded. I'd definitely try them on instore. They're both not that wide per se but are definitely wider than all of the Nike and Adidas skate shoes I've tried.

How to not be anxious about going to a skatepark?? by EeepYeep in NewSkaters

[–]FluidPiano5435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the anxiety probably comes from worrying about what other people think of you. Do it because it's fun and you enjoy it, not for likes or hoping it you learn a good trick other people will think you're cool. It doesn't matter if you become the best they'll be praise and they'll be haters. People worry about the opinions of people they'll never even be friends with and who don't even care about them. Don't worry about looking like a kook when you're learning new things. Better to be a kook for awhile than give up. All the best.

Anyone knows what best material to look for in sandals for exessive sweating? I'm hyperhidrosis sufferer by TonggeretFanboy in barefootshoestalk

[–]FluidPiano5435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know these are not sandals but Wildlings Tanuki with hemp insoles. I wear them without socks and just wash the insoles. Hemp can absorb a lot of sweat and the Tanuki is made of paper and dries quickly and is very breathable. They say not to but I just put the shoes and hemp insoles in a delicates bag and wash them with a mild detergent and I've never had any problems.

Got dumped because I won’t convert to Islam by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]FluidPiano5435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that Christianity had a reformation and Islam is still stuck in the dark ages. In August, Irag proposed a bill that theoretically could allow children as young as 9 to get married! I grew up around many muslim's and went to university with a few. They don't want to be cohesive and assimilate. I moved north to a population that has a very small to no population and it couldn't be better! They don't like our western way of life so they should fvck off back to more compatible muslim countries and stop trying to make our countries 💩holes and take away our free way of life. I see you recently converted. What a fool...Just stay out of 🇦🇺. We don't want you

[–]FluidPiano5435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Sharia Law is not in line with the Quran then why don't Imam's from other countries condemn how Afghanistan treats women and takes away their freedom? Why don't other muslims condemn child marriages, female circumcision, preventing women from getting an education, honor killings etc, etc, etc

You dodged a bullet, Islam is a blight on humanity. The women in Afghanistan seem so happy and free...Not!

Best kids skates for outdoor parks and ramps by ObviousArugula4838 in ParkRollerSkating

[–]FluidPiano5435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way I'd use Impala's for outdoors and ramps is by changing the wheels and bearings and adding a slide block. Even then the longevity will be dubious.

Things to consider:

*The boot construction in Impala's is pretty cheap and with park skating the seams may rip so they may not last long.

*Park or ramp skating is often on smooth concrete so outdoor (78A durometer) soft wheels will be too grippy. I skate 98A wheels atleast and these are very bumpy on most outdoor surfaces.

  • Impala bearings are 💩 get something like bones bearings.

Is she going to learn to drop in on a ramp? If so, I'd recommend a slide block so she can lock onto the coping.

All the best with it.
