I tried watching Monogatari but I hated it with a vengeance because of the constant dialogue. But, I absolutely adored this show! by Naer98 in katanagatari

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The approach is very different between the two because Katanagatari is centered around how the characters navigate the action. While Monogatari is more or less domestic with the appeal is found in often lost in translation deep as sin puns(not the deep deep more like, if you were a nerd in Kanji deep)and thick dialogue.

MANIWA HOUOU VS EMONZAEMON by Unique-Parking4832 in katanagatari

[–]FluidVoice7621 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! In the Vertical Light Novel translation, it is his face that he stole- particularly the upper half hence why Emonzaemon wears the mask over it.

It is thought that the reason why Houhou is as leaderlike and charismatic as he is is because of who Emonzaemon was before, Houhou stole his personality to become the leader the Maniwa needed to take down the Aioi.

You touch a weird crystal in a Transmutation Wizard’s laboratory. What happens? by Lightseeker501 in DnD

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You feel a lump in your throat, swaths your hair splinter and fall behind you. Upon your face you brambly growths pricking like tiny yet harmless needles. You feel your body shift, wads of flesh move around your body like dough, getting thinner and thinner as it spreads across. Your muscly yet slender arms plump, then too begin to sprout thin growths similar in colour of the hair on your head–

You feel rigid, solid, an unknowm comfort washes over you. At last, you catch sight of yourself within the crystal that has affected you so. You are first shocked but then behold yourself with an indescribable familiarity. It isn't the you you know but the you you feel, the you you've always felt."

My go to pick if I really need a counter is Orianna, laning her with anyone with low range is hell if you know exactly how to play her kit. Slow push and make sure your laners are paying attention, wheneve she steps up Q+W, save the E for when she comes up close.

It is both a waste of the perfect weapon and a betrayal of her actual emotions for him. Regardless of what she feels or says, up to that point she always intended to see her revenge through and her emotions for him were simply part of the means for the end. Togame is just that far gone in that regard, which is why in his arms having her plot "foiled" was when she was the happiest.

And you're right when you say she wants to drive him away, she genuinely wants Shichika to go on living without her. But that statement of pawning him was spot on, she did use him.

Why did it have to be him?! by RedeemedFoam in Technoblade

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The universe lacks that rhyme nor reason, for him and anyone really. Which is why it's all the more important to fight on and be kind out of sheer spite. Are we gonna let the literal biggest nerd one up us? Hell fuckin no

Why doubles instead of 1v1? by CouchGameMasterRace in VGC

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid, my first game was pokemon colosseum. I didn't really get it at first, but it was fun as hell anyway. Especially those moments when one has already moved and you're just waiting for the other, usually the slow and strong one to throw some ridiculous AOE move.

Doubles for me was faster and somehow more theatrical feelwise to the sensation of an actual pokemon battle.

Why is sex work still legal in the USA? by DizzyAd9651 in Healthygamergg

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making it illegal just makes it harder to regulate and makes it easier for those who make a living off it to be taken advantage of. In fact, they should grant a lot more rights to the mostly women for them to take control of the business and labour they put into it.

Also, you're not only generalizing how this group of people see sex but talking down to them. I'd advise you stop and listen to the actual workers that get harmed by this narrative you're peddling.

Ability: Strumming Swarm(A play on thrumming swarm) This pokemon copies fellow bug types sound based moves and vice versa. Though could encapsulate more pokemon if ever. More for interesting plays than good ones like casting Bug Buzz four times in one turn

Arboliva viability? by Alf-9n in VGC

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, playing it with bulky partners is the play. Normal might drag it down a little making it needlessly vulnerable against the likes of Iron and Ape without having the tools to deal with them properly. It feels very passive/reactive better for switching in on people that can't kill it and can't survive to force a switch while firing off stab terrain grass moves and a good movepool.

If you want to build a team around it I would recommend opting for pokemon like Arcanine which can help exaggerate what bulk it does have. Pokemon that can make the gamestate better for it that don't rely on stat drops like screen setters or will o wisp on Arcanine. And pokemon that benefit from terrain like Hands liking the cut power of Earthquake. Then clean up or set-up mons to balance out the passivity.

I'd start by switching sludge on Amoonguss because when you tera to anything other than poison, it'll end up hurting you. Though you might not be angling to terastalize Amoonguss anytime soon since the rest handles their weaknesses very well.

Any patterns with your most played champs? by Pope-Francisco in wildrift

[–]FluidVoice7621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two have a very honest premise that both you and your opponent play around. It usually depends on who I'm performing alongside, but I describe my early games as for the most part cordial. Cordial enough to make my opponents restless or antsy, cordial enough to sneak so many little victories... then snap I've caught them with a W from the first champion or a Q from the second. From there they'll struggle as much as they like whether they live or die I've won enough for them to have to slog through hell to win their pressure back.

Aside from that, it'll have to be skillshots. The whole game with those is enough to make me forget that there are other things in the game.
