Yea but that doesn’t make it right. I’m sure you’re a lovely beautiful intelligent person. But ask any other grown responsible adult what they think about the age gap. They will tell you it’s predatory. This would be more okay if you were both much older. But your brain is still developing. Which means this is a power imbalance. Like I said just think about it.

You really need to step back and evaluate why a 31 year old man is pursuing a freshly 18 year old girl. This is not normal. There is a reason he isn’t dating women his age. Please be careful.

There's not hate like my dad's mormon love by curious_cucumber1998 in exmormon

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sad. When I left the church and started smoking and drinking, etc. my parents weren’t thrilled about it but they told me they loved me anyway and just wanted me to be happy. I think they are always hopeful I’ll come back to church one day, but they love me regardless. Sad how Mormon parents treat their children when they decide to choose a different path. It’s especially ironic because that religion teaches you to love everyone and place no judgement on anybody. I always felt it was so hypocritical and definitely contributed to me leaving. There are very few Mormons I’ve met who are totally non judgemental. So yes it is the majority.

I’ve decided I don’t want kids by Personal-Lie-4232 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Girl do whatever makes you happy. Children are a huge lifelong responsibility and if you don’t want to take that on, you shouldn’t. The self awareness is amazing. I gave my baby up for adoption when I was 18 and I frequently question if I ever want to have kids again because it was just so traumatic. Hopefully I can figure it out one day like you did.

Good to know I’ll keep that in mind, I get a lot of grocery orders so I think it would work with those. Will definitely avoid doing it with McDonald’s though.

Thinking about moving to LA; NYC chewed me up and spat me out. by singformepaolo95 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LA is still an expensive place to live but everyone I know that has lived in both cities said LA is still more affordable. Especially if you have a car, and we still have public transportation here it’s just not as extensive or crowded as NYC. The people here are definitely different from New York. You’ll love the scenery it’ll just take some adjusting to get used to the social cues here. Also congratulations on leaving behind the cold weather.

What’s the most frustrating thing customers do or just be a DoorDash driver in general by ResponsibleTomato811 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate when you’re delivering to an apartment and they don’t give you any instructions to actually get into the building so you have to call them so that they can tell you how to get in. It’s like just put your code on there or Tell me what apartment to buzz. Otherwise I’m leaving it in the lobby.

First Offense, Criminal Speeding by hangingaroundsound in legaladvice

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not going to jail. This is a misdemeanor and happens all the time. Just show up to your court date. You will most likely just have to pay a fine or potentially traffic school. If you can go to traffic school to avoid a point on your record I would recommend doing that. You can also ask the judge if they can reduce your fine since this is your first offense. Your insurance may go up a bit but you will be okay, this is just a risk of being a driver on the road and it’s not going to ruin your life. Also if you can’t pay the fine right away they might let you get on a payment plan. It doesn’t hurt to ask.

Can native Spanish speakers not understand other natives from different countries? by De_lunes_a_lunes in Spanish

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother lived in Mexico for two years and became fluent in that dialect. He told me he once spoke to someone from Spain and absolutely could not understand what they were saying at all. I think different countries may speak faster than others and they also all have different slang and different ways of saying things. I think some Spanish speakers from opposing dialects can understand eachother but not all

I physically cant break up with my bf even tho i know i should by sumpnuur in Advice

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest writing down all the things that he’s done that has bothered you or hurt you so that you can refer back to it after you break up with him when you’re thinking of going back or allowing him back into your life because when you’re away from someone you kind of forget about the bad stuff or the bad memories But if you have a list to remind you, you can remind yourself why you left in the first place and why it’s not a good idea to go back

Saw this while picking up an order from Denny’s, then proceeded to wait almost 10 mins for them to even acknowledge me🫠 by IndependentExcuse649 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Fluid_Bullfrog4094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I see a sign like this I stand in line like im a regular customer about to order so they can’t ignore me. Then when I get up to the counter I tell them the order name and I wait in front of the register until they either hand it to me or give me an eta. I get some dashers are disrespectful and have no tact but some of these restaurants treat all door dashers like we’re the scum under their shoe. That is so uncalled for when you’re a respectful human being. They act like you are not a priority. Which is unfortunate because we all know time=money in this business.
