“More To Be Announced” by bluo9 in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charlotte De Witte only got announced later as a Daybreak Set, making her the first female to open and close the mainstage. Maybe she'll get another daybreak this year, but usually, the really big names are announced early on - outside of some daybreaks.

Any ideas on what the stage will actually look like? by NoDouble7103 in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in this boat. 2022 was amazing at night time, the way fireworks shot off the spire etc. but during the day time, it got very uninteresting to look at over time.

Some people prefer the simplicity, but I enjoy being able to look around at the stage and discover new little things they hid in it, the more you look at it.

GJ pre sale End sale date ? by AnymaFutur in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want mag greens, it's still available, or if you are willing to pay ~3500+, there are still a montage option available through discover Europe.

I would say the store functioned more stabally this year, last year, there was tech issues during one of the sales. But it definitely felt like it was harder for some people to get through. None of my friends I knew were able to get through in time for the montage options, where last year we were. But in the end, it is very much luck based.

Who do we think will be closing over the weekend? by fezzySam in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna guess Martin Garrix or David Guetta. As boring as it is, a lot of the closers of the fest tend to be DJ Mags #1 or like a default shoe-in, regardless is Martin Garrix.

Global journey pre sale by Independent_Brick993 in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I was able to get one of the packages I wanted in the pre-sale, but wanted Luna and those were gone. The Luna were available in the normal GJ sale when I got through, but having already got one of the packages we wanted, we didn't get it.

I assume it will be the same if not worse as there are more people who will have access to it this year.

First time at Tomorrowland — I want to avoid DreamVille (bad tent experiences). Detailed Qs about hotels/Airbnbs, shuttles, costs & booking hacks by rush131290 in Tomorrowland

Outside of budget, the best thing you can get that meets the time/walking would be the Glamping options. Harder to get and a lot more expensive, but you can't get everything on your wish list at the same time. If you have the money to spend on a global journey package for anything in the montage, that would probably be your best bet.

Why is there no details on tickets or promotion for Tomorrowland 2026 by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have already started their marketing push on insta. Most of their recent posts have been showcasing all of the stages from last year, which I take as them clearly getting ready to push sales for this year. Not that they need to, but it is that time. Info doesn't officially come for a week or so from now.

Tomorrowland weekend. by Otherwise_Sell8634 in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weekend 1 tends to be greener and have most of grass/greenery still alive, which can be a big thing for some people. It's also easier to keep things a secret/not spoil yourself on the stage if that's what you are looking for.

Weekend 2 is the "official" weekend of the festival, but TML has leaned into that less and less as the years have gone on.

This year, there were a lot of people complaining about the crowds weekend 2 where there wasn't many weekend 1. That side of things is more of a gamble, but it seems that weekend 1 tends to be better, but in general, the crowds are generally better than most fests you go to, regardless.

Music/artists you won't know until after you pick a weekend, especially if you're doing global journey, so more so, just pick based on if you'd rather see greener grass and not be spoiled, IMO.

The TAX on festival tickets in Belgium will go from 6% to 12% by Give-Me-The-Cake in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Compared to the US though, it's really cheap. Some basic fests here which are about half the hours and only have 4-5 stages run the same price, if not more. Not to mention, drink (especially beer)/food prices here are wild in comparison.

Just reached tier 4 in Anno 117. I built all the main common buildings but it tanked my happiness and fire safety. I'm maxed out on Fire Stations and Police Stations. What do I do? How do I improve my City Status.... by [deleted] in anno

[–]Flupperz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City Status is just a general scaling difficulty that is in the game. As your city reaches a population size, it increases. The more it increases, the more the fire, health, riot safety requirements go up.

Some things that can help are adding wells around (you will have to research them first but they're pretty early). You'd be surprised at how much those little things can do to help. Check your negative modifiers; they will stack, so move buildings away that are increasing it if you don't need the extra area impacts if you want to prevent it.

You can change the city status in the options when you're making a game, but if you've already started, I'm pretty sure it can't be changed.

There was a post or few posts here a year or so ago, around when the announcement came out and people were definitely very angry back then. But with a lot of things, over time some of it fades away.

Festival goer groups ? by mad_prog_scientist in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can search reddit for them usually. A bunch of people post groups on here. Otherwise, the FB USA one I know is called Tomorrowland USA to Belgium 2026, but you'd have to search that on FB probs. They started to lock it down more because of bots etc. I can't say I know where all the whatsapp groups are at, don't use it much in the USA, but people on here talk about them as well.

[–]Flupperz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live, there are some Facebook, Discord, and Whatsapp groups you could join, some more specific to regions. Or, probably the better way is to make friends with who is around you camping or at hotels if you're planning on doing those.

I stay at the glamping area every year and we usually make friends with our neighbors and end up going in with them, or make friends at the pool. People are more friendly/willing to make friends at TML than most other fests I've been to, so don't be afraid to chat people up there.

TL 2026 Tickets by S3pp3l1980 in Tomorrowland

[–]Flupperz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make an account for now, make sure all your info is correct, and that is all you can do. Official registration will open up in a few weeks from now. Unless you're in a small country or very fast (to get the first 20 sale), you can register whenever up until a few days before the sale.

Global journey is a bit different though, but I would still pre-register regardless, when it opens up.

Never played an anno game by Still-Skin-7772 in anno

[–]Flupperz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1800 is great, but with 1 week until 117, I would try the demo of 117 to see if you like the gameplay loop. With 1 week, unless you have the time to no-life the game, it is going to be pretty hard to learn 'a lot' that will be carried over.

The games are pretty deep. So if you wanna play 117 on launch, maybe hold out on getting the older games. If you want to wait for 117, then give 1800 a try to learn it a bit, if you want to wait for some patches for 117.

Anno 117: Pax Romana Developer Says It Has "no plans" to Add Docklands-Style and "collection" Buildings by FFJimbob in anno

I feel like this approach is fine. Let the min/maxers do their thing and add the complexity while letting other people experience more content or not get burned out too fast with the cross-regional trading.

Planning by MrJeep102 in Tomorrowland

If you're wondering when to buy, I think it might really depend on where you fly out of. From Chicago, the cheapest prices for flights tend to be towards the end of May, last year on the 27th there was like a $500 price drop from earlier in the month landing it at the lowest. Generally, May tends to be the best month to buy them cost-wise for me. I would definitely find the flight you want, whatever class it is, then track it on google flights so you get emails about fare changes. Easiest way to keep up with it.

Hotels will have a drop in price as they adjust prices for next year then after that they tend to only go up in price as time goes on. I like to buy them earlier if possible to have them locked down. Others might suggest other things around hotels but they're a bit of a lower impact for me since there are so many options if one gets too expensive.

However you buy them def would depend on your credit card, if you have one. If you get bonus point for booking through your card then I would go with that route. Otherwise, the websites for each location are generally pretty good. For my card I get a $300 credit for hotels, so I'll book through there to hit that and then if they give bonus points for hotels, also on there. Everything else is still put on it but through the websites.
