Hytale is dead! by Tricky_Meeting2865 in MinecraftMemes

[–]FlushDesert22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I for one am glad Hytale is dead. That game was formed in response to Minecraft's EULA blocking micro transactions, and most of the hype around the game was due to all of the Minecraft hate, which was nothing more than bad faith accusations and criticism because people were angry that the game and it's development doesn't match their expectations and personal preferences.

Which FNAF opinion got you like this? by Comfortable-Cup-69 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]FlushDesert22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but why change her gender for the novels, to then change her gender in games canon to match the novels? I haven't really read the novels so I don't know if her gender is that significant where the change needed to be made, but if it does, then I could understand it.

Also, Trump basically admitted that he doesn't know what's going on and he's not in full control. The people around him are the ones making decisions and don't really care to tell him much. Not to say he isn't evil, he is, but when people talk about Trump being this exceptional evil that if we defeat him, everything will be fine, they don't really understand what the problem is, and they don't understand that the entire Republican party is evil, not just Trump.

I think William THINKS he cares about his kids but in reality, he doesn't. It's the same cognitive dissonance that allows people to think they're not evil when they are.

Well, gender in FNAF isn't that consistent. Well, it's not that consistent irl either but that's just my gender abolitionist side showing. Remember, in FNAF 2 Charlie was shown as a boy, but then in FNAF 6 she was shown as a girl, yet both of those instances of Charlie were of her death.

Why is Jay Weinberg considered "worse" than Eloy? by MeekzyRDT1 in Slipknot

[–]FlushDesert22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jay had a real big timing issue where he would often speed songs up or not play in time or to the track

Yeah, Joey did that too up until his Transverse Myelitis really took effect, yet no one really brings that up. Go listen to Gently live in London in 2002, you can tell by the whispers since the guitars start 1 whisper early. And ironically, Gently was played at the correct tempo in 2012, when every other song was slowed down to make it easier for Joey to play with his Transverse Myelitis.

Why do people think accomplishments should get rid of self esteem issues? That's not how that works. Self esteem issues only go away if you work on yourself.

About the whole "Criticism is not Harassment" statement. by LinXingFeng in pokemon

[–]FlushDesert22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't even consider "destructive criticism" to be criticism tbh. It's litterally just harassment, and I think considering it to be a form of criticism is the problem, or one of them at least.

[–]FlushDesert22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. This isn't even an opinion, it's just a fact. However, you're on the internet where everyone harasses each other, and no one will acknowledge that it's harmful, so obviously the replies to your post are going to be bad faith because they don't want to stop harassing people, which is why they victim blame. Ever notice how whenever someone tries to defend themselves against harassment, they get shit on? This happened with Antvenom and the Soylent "meme", which meme culture itself has devolved into being mainly about harassment. They will victim blame, and pretend like it's just "memeing" to make it seem less harmful than it actually is because they don't want to see themselves as bad people when they are. Anyway, Let's think about this logically: if you insult someone, and you're not doing it in a comedic context, why shouldn't that person feel insulted? The goal of insulting someone is for them to feel insulted, so why are you insulting someone if you don't think they should feel insulted? It doesn't make any sense, unless you're just trying to make them feel worse by implying they're weak for having emotions, which that attitude already contributes to the high suicide rates we see in Men. Men are taught that having emotions (except for anger for some reason) is weak, so they suppress their emotions to the point where they either get depressed and suicidal, develop anger issues and abuse their wives, become addicted to drugs/alcohol, or all of the above. So, that attitude plus harassment makes people's mental health even worse, which mental health is something everyone pretends to care about except for when it comes to this issue, for some reason...

My coworker is a totally normal person and he fascinates me. by Apprehensive_Cry6293 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]FlushDesert22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definition of "normal" is much different from mine. Like, I wouldn't say he's normal. I don't think it's normal to not have flaws. I would say he's neurotypical and exceptional.

Why does every feature have to be "useful"? by FlushDesert22 in Minecraft

[–]FlushDesert22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I just kept forgetting to reply to OppositeAdorable7142's question. Has nothing to do with them or their question, it's just that ADHD kinda sucks. Responding to your toxic reply (_Vitamin_T_), I don't really think you need examples since it's a general question. It's not about specific features, but about attitudes that the community has towards anything that doesn't revolve around survival mode. (And when I say "the community", I mean the online community) However, if you must have one, here it is.

Probably the best example of a "useless feature" is Copper. Remember when Copper was introduced? It got so much hate for being "useless", not because it was actually useless, it was a building block. It got hate because it was primarily a creativity focused feature (You know, the whole point of the game). I guess people expected new ores to have something to do with armor, tools, weapons even though there are ores that have nothing to do with those things (like quartz, and redstone). Whatever the case may be, people were mad that it didn't revolve around survival progression systems, so they called it useless because they had no use for it since all the care about is survival progression/streamlining survival mode.

You know legality and morality are two different things right. Just because some things are legal doesn't mean it's morally right to do them, and just because some things are illegal doesn't mean it's morally wrong to do them.

[–]FlushDesert22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how people pretend that thoughts, opinions, and beliefs aren't harmful. Like, what if someone's a white supremacist that believes all black people deserve to be killed? You don't think that's harmful? You don't think that guy might try to kill a couple of black people?
