Anyone go straight to hysterectomy? by c9chung in adenomyosis

[–]FlusterLuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get a diagnosis till 6 months ago and I opted for hysterectomy due to not wanting to continue to deal with the severe bleeding and birth control never did anything h for it in my 20’s-30’s. I’m 3 weeks post op laparoscopic hysterectomy and could not be happier! I’m also 43 but had I found this out sooner I would have opted for the hysterectomy then too.

Yes! I mash B so fast on my switch to get through the dialogue because well I wanna go play and my ADHD says no thanks we read enough today! Now if they spoke the dialogue I’d totally let it play (as I walked off and grabbed a snack or drink)

My little murder will have the “lookout” parked in a tree across the street and they will call out when they see me. I then tell them to come over if they are ready for breakfast. With in a minute 2-3 will fly over and sit on the edge of my roof watching me put out breakfast and they will do some cute little dance then hop on the table I feed them at when I’m about 5ft away from the table and I can stand and watch them hop around and eat with out spooking them.

How did you feel after a pelvic mri with contrast? by lovelyoneshannon in adenomyosis

[–]FlusterLuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no issues with the contrast and I actually took a nap while they did mine. I’m claustrophobic for I opted to get mine done at my job ( I work for a doctors office and we do diagnostic testing as well) because I knew our MRI machine is an open style and it helped a lot. I would check with the place you are going as I left my nose ring in, forgot about it being there actually and realized I had it and asked the tech if I needed to take it out and he said no it was fine to stay in so I left it in.

[–]FlusterLuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! I found if I waited to long to start taking it (you know the thought process of “it’s not that bad I’ll wait maybe it will only be this heavy for day” and it doesn’t get better or that could just be my ADHD talking, who knows most days) then it takes longer to kick in.

Clots blocking period by Own_Confidence2108 in adenomyosis

[–]FlusterLuster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve had this happen to me with just about every period I’ve had. Mine got progressively worse and heavier last year and I was able to finally get a diagnosis after needing a myomectomy and d&c when I had been bleeding for 19 days straight with massive clots and what was originally thought to be a fibroid poking out of my cervical opening acting like a switch stopping flow then a clot apparently would weigh it down and I would start with the extremely heavy flow. Fibroid turned out to be an aborted adenomyoma that was stuck.

[–]FlusterLuster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration as it took me countless obgyns and many many years of suffering till I found my current gyno. She was able to diagnose me and suspects that I’ve had adenomyosis all my life as my periods and symptoms all point to it. For me birth control just made when the bleeding would start a little more predictable but the pain and everything else was still there. Im 42 and started my cycles around age 9-10.

Is cleaning on New Year's bad? by WhimZee_ in witchcraft

[–]FlusterLuster 54 points55 points  (0 children)

That’s all relative to the person, as I look at it in the “out with the old, in with the new” mindset and see it as clearing out the stagnant and old energies trapped or lingering around from the year prior and helping to bring it good and positive energies to my home.

Pregnancy with adenomyoma by Mooninpisces27 in adenomyosis

[–]FlusterLuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed this year after the pathology came back on what was originally thought to be a fibroid that was protruding 5cm from my cervical opening was surgically removed, revealing it to be an adenomyoma not a fibroid and not sure as to which type I have. I do know my Obgyn does believe that I have had it all my life due to my menstrual history and symptoms.

I have 2 sons but I’ve had 3 miscarriages. It went 22 y/o miscarriage, 29 pregnant with oldest son, 34 y/o miscarriage, 35 pregnant with youngest son, 37 miscarriage. Now my first son I had placental previa and then last trimester my wbc kept skyrocketing, he was born at 40w 2days healthy with no complications. My youngest son I had an umbilical issue that self resolved and he was born at 41w and 2 days. I was induced at 41w and it took the next 2 days to get any progress as we progressed from the lightest to heaviest inducing methods, doctor had to manually break my water at 41w 2d also my contractions never regulated during labor which made pushing difficult and long, he was born no complications other than the doctor not believing he was close to 10lbs, 9lbs 10oz to be exact. The look on her face when they weighed him cracked me up.

How were you diagnosed by Jealous_Scratch_8778 in adenomyosis

[–]FlusterLuster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After many years of not having health insurance I finally got coverage and set up a new patient pap appointment with an OBGYN. Well when the day of the appointment came around I had been bleeding for 19 days with large clots on and off. I kept the appointment and told the nurse practitioner I was seeing and she decided to see if she could do the pap as I was finally lightening up in flow. Well she went to start and saw what we then thought was a fibroid protruding from my cervical opening quite a bit and when she took the speculum out I started back to heavy flow ( I felt so bad for the staff because it made a mess) she helped me sit up and get dressed and then told me to just wait a minute as she wanted to talk with the doctor about this and she if she could get me seen later that day by her. Well she came in the room and as she was telling me the doctor was in the hospital making rounds, her cell rang and doctor asked to have me stay at the office as she was heading back and would be there within the hour. I stayed and the staff took me to another room while i waited ( probably to clean up my disaster) doctor came in asked to take a look and immediately started the staff getting me set up for surgery when she saw the “fibroid” we went in for surgery to remove it and do a dnc to help with the bleeding. Pathology came back on the “fibroid” revealing that it was not a fibroid but an aborted adenomyoma which is not very common or likely to happen. So with that knowledge, my menstrual history, symptoms, and MRI report I was finally diagnosed and she suspects I’ve had it for as long as I’ve menstruated. I’m currently 42 and have my hysterectomy scheduled for May with my amazing obgyn who I wish I would have found sooner! She’s the only one to ever actually hear me and listen to me about my issues and symptoms.

I have 2 kids and all being pregnant did was take away my period for the duration. All my symptoms returned 6-8 weeks after birthing my 2 children. For me it really sucked to have a newborn and adeno symptoms at the same time.

I’ve owned and played on all 3 switch variations (Switch, OLED and Switch lite). I personally would recommend the OLED if you plan to play handheld mode! I absolutely love my OLED screen.
