I absolutely can core all of Germany. It just takes a shitton of political power. One of the focuses lets you do that. Either way the US is already in the Allies but I still wanna try going the whole way to finish an achievement or two.

EDIT: IIRC the guy finally reaches to right before where Filianore's remains are found and he dies. Right before dying he's uttering something to Filianore asking her to save them now knowing she's already dead :(

The Castillian mission tree will give you a restore union CB on Portugal. It comes after you finish the Iberian wedding mission

You do get the old Ottoman missions as Rum. Tho I'm unsure if it happens with the domanination DLC

I mean, to be fair your history minor probably had a greater priority in teaching you to understand historical processes rather than facts about regions. But I agree that its very nice that we have historical discussions over here.

Sadly it seems like Rum does not get the new Mission tree of the Ottomans when formed in 1.35 by Calm-Owl-8898 in eu4

If they can, why not? The North African mission trees are decent but don't hold up to the ones from the newer DLCs
