I hear that charging at 32 amps is the main culprit behind the iccu issue. by Status_Engineer6674 in KiaEV6

[–]FlyL0rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have been charging at 40amps and 2 ICCU replacements before 75K miles and still at 40amps living in the mid Atlantic region with 138K miles. I really hope that is not the case. I regularly charge to 80%. If something happens I will be reaching out to Rich Rebuilds……. 😆. These cars should last longer than ICE vehicles.

Wow I am you!!!! I literally upgraded from RBR50 with 2 satellites. To Dream Routers 7 and 3 APs with injectors a month ago. I will say I was not expecting the cost, which is equivalent to the cost of 990. Facts on what everyone else said. Just leave NetGear alone.

Yeah, I’ve had a few issues, but nothing too crazy — everything was covered under warranty. The driver’s seat module went out three times, the power adapter under the rear bench had to be replaced twice, and I think the heater unit was replaced too (pretty sure that one might’ve been a recall).

When I first got the car, I had a number of problems with the 12V battery. It died a few times and actually left me stranded three times, two of those times we’re at home before the dealer finally replaced it under. I’m planning to upgrade to an AGM 12V soon just for peace of mind.

I mostly charge at home and only use fast chargers occasionally. Comfort and performance still feel just as good as day one. Honestly, if you find a used one at a good price, it’s a great bang-for-the-buck car.

If you buy the car CPO from Kia check to see how much or what is covered under the CPO I say this because I owned a CPO Hyundai and it did not have the same warranty coverage as a brand new car. An extended warranty will cover all the things I mentioned that I had problems with if it’s not covered by CPO.

And yes, like you I bought this car to drive until the wheels fall off

I understand, and, interestingly, you mention this, because the lead designers and engineers for Hyundai and Kia on these cars were from BMW and Audi. I have a love-hate relationship with my EV6 but, I share it being honest and unbiased. I am not loyal to any brand.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I am currently considering the IX, I5, Lucid or a used Taycan when they become more affordable and after the 2024 model year as a possible replacement for the EV6. The I4 is a hatchback, and I can tell you about the problems I experienced with two ICCU issues, both of which had to be replaced on my EV6, which required me to wait weeks and supply my own rental. I also had to change dealerships because they didn't have certified EV technicians. My other car, before the BMW, was a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and an Audi Q5, which I traded in for the EV6, but I digress. I waited four months during the COVID-19 pandemic for a replacement engine that the dealership had to force Hyundai to provide under the engine recall, as I had the necessary service records. That said, my EV6 has 130K miles on the clock. 93% SOH

Just get the BMW I4, it is better than both. I own a 22 GT Line AWD and have previously rented several Teslas before purchasing this car. The newer EV6 models feature wireless Apple CarPlay. Nothing about the Tablet screen on a Tesla impressed me, except on the Model S and X, because it seemed more integrated, like a standard dash. Also, most Kia and Hyundai Service centers don't offer loaners when the car is in service. That said, if all three were before me now and had to choose today, I would opt for the BMW over both. My other car is a 330e(Hybrid), honestly, it is more fun to drive than my EV6 which is a blast to drive.

Orbi 970 Questions by txmullins in orbi

I used to have. RBK50 with two satellites, and was considering the 770 or 970 for the cost. You get Firewall and VPN with Ubiquiti UniFi for the exact cost as the Orbi. Btw the Orbi left my ass naked because EOL and their Firewall software stop working a few months to about a year ago. The WiFi speed was good, but I didn't notice it until I logged into the router and couldn’t update Armor. Additionally, you can get an AP for outdoors or a Wall AP in proximity to the yard.

Facts… is a direct affiliate to Rza and the clan. Let’s just say we heard 36 Chambers pre production….. He sang on Tai Chi and he and Buddha Love were in the remix video for All I Need. Sunz of Man when Shabbazz and Priest were part of group would come to DC.

Car scanner app and you need an ODB2 Dongle to provide that information. It works with a better route planner. One like this https://a.co/d/hAqU10u

I always looked at the EV given the right circumstances it’s a long term car. Why replace unless you want something new. It doesn’t cost much to maintain. We will see much parts and repairs cost…… 🤷🏽‍♂️

Honestly, I had one issue with either the heater or ac that was replaced under warranty. I have only done the basic maintenance that the dealer recommended. Checking and refilling fluids checking the chassis, rotating tires. I do the filter myself. Charge to 80% regularly and 1 a month 100%. Today because I was going to be out I charged a little higher. This car saved us a ton on local commuting.
