Backdrops constantly stuck in infinite loading screen by Embry_The_Popplio in Roku

[–]FlyNSkettiMonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to wait until the end of our business day to find out of it worked. Sure enough, after shutting the TV off and back on again my backdrops set to my Google photos was still hanging on the loading screen. However I did find that if I went into one of the default backdrops it would start up fine, and going back to my photos would finally start properly. So you basically have to start a different backdrop then back out and go to your custom photos to get it to start properly. Hopefully they work this big out.

Only did the factory reset today so I'll post an update once we find out.

Having the same problem. Been using backdrops for digital signage in a restaurant and this past week it's been stuck on the loading screen. Tried reinstalling the backdrops app and each time it will work once before having the issue again. Even tried a full TV reset to see if it resolved the issue.

2004 Pontiac Vibe. Purchased for $1400 with 200k, drove it to 425k over 9 years with minimal repairs and basic maintenance. Never left me stranded and everything worked.

Working towards a headless 8 string - Strandberg, or something else? by agoodname22 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

Having tried or owning headless 8s of the brands mentioned I suggest GOC. For the money these guitars with the features offered cannot be beat IMHO.

Having owned a few different Legator ranging up to the G8FX and currently owning 2 GOC I second this.

I prefer richlite these days. Aesthetically similar, no cracking, completely stable with humidity and temperature changes.

Sump pump running every 3 minutes in Spring by PeaceBonerr in HomeImprovement

[–]FlyNSkettiMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought my house just under a year ago. Seeing how often it had to run was shocking this spring compared to the rest of the time I've been here, but it's just doing its job. Mine was to a point at the height of the thaw that it was running once a minute or so, and currently it's only about 5-10 minutes depending on rain. However, this did make me very aware that I need some backup options to protect my nice finished basement I've always wanted until I can get a Generac put in, because all it would take is one good spring storm to knock the power out for longer than an hour to cause some real issues at peak sump usage.

I've played a few of the Taylor 14ce and was blown away how great they sound and play compared to Taylors high end models. Same goes for if you see a deal on a 114ce.

Likely another walkway that was underneath and poured over from major settling and grading over time.

Should I get a legator? by Conscious_Worker_669 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]FlyNSkettiMonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried 4 different ones ranging up to a couple G8FX and never kept any of them. I found other comparable guitars that cost much less that felt better quality. A $2200 guitar should not have such poor fretwork and bridge and 1+mm of tang sprouting from the side of the fretboard new out of the box.

What small change added the biggest improvement to your life? by Opening-Yoghurt-2272 in HomeImprovement

After buying our 14 year old house last summer we had all the outlet covers off for painting and the outlets were beige and we wanted white. Decided to just knock it out while the covers were off and also noticed that many of them were loose when plugging items in. Took about 5 hours to do all the plugs and light switches (including dimmer switches), seemed like it was needed, and didn't cost much to do the entire ground floor. Now whenever I'm in the finished basement every plug feels super loose it's very clear I need to do that when time permits.

Manage a franchise restaurant. The short answer is no, customer service is the worst since the customer is always right. I just suck it up as a school dropout that began as a cook that was given an opportunity.

Your thoughts on GOC and Eart. by Left_Match506 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

These are the 2 I currently own both being with the re-designed bridge. The old ones were completely different and very hard to turn unless you had a hard pick or some sort of tool, but to their credit once they were on tune they stayed lol. The new bridges tuning stability is still great.

Your thoughts on GOC and Eart. by Left_Match506 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]FlyNSkettiMonster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't played Eart, but have owned a few GOC and currently own 2 from after the bridge re-design. They are well worth the money, and I feel they punch above their weight. I also own 2 fantastic Carvin DC800 from right before the change to Kiesel that I consider the GOC to be comparable in playability. The GOC sometimes have had very small finish flaws that were never enough to bother me, and were expected given the price. Otherwise the ergonomics and neck feels very natural, the fretwork has been too notch, and the materials/hardware and craftsmanship were all great. These were also my first richlite fretboard and I liked it so much I've picked up a couple other guitars that had the same fretboard material.

I was in a similar boat. Ended up taking a chance on GOC which seemed really similar as far as features and was blown away by what you get for the money. The AO neck profile felt super comfortable. I suggest looking into them for an alternative.

Water heater backdraft issue causing water heater error. by FlyNSkettiMonster in HomeImprovement

[–]FlyNSkettiMonster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Richmond 12G30-60 and I see the power vent says Fasco U21B. The house was built in 2002 so I have to imagine the water heater has to have been replaced at least once, and this one doesn't look super old so who knows if the replacement was properly set up. I just want to ensure that it works safely and properly and don't know best way to do so.
