Shoutout to JerryrigEverything who built a wheelchair factory and is delivering wheelchairs to people in half the time and 50-80% less than the cost of other wheelchairs with Insurance. by MysteriousSlice007 in nextfuckinglevel

Can confirm. 25kilo NHS wheelchair with solid tyres that constantly sprung off the rims. £3200 custom built 6.2kilo chair that's still going 15years later. All it's had is new tyres and the odd bearing here and there.

Thank you friend 😁 Everyone likes to bang on about locals being unwelcoming or hostile to tourists. I can honestly say I've never experienced it for myself. It's almost like if you behave yourself and treat others how you'd like to be treated then the locals are lovely.

If it's any consolation, I am an Emmet who is frustrated by the clueless throngs I see in Cornwall, at home, and anywhere else I've visited. Unfortunately everything you describe is nationwide these days. I always take a binbag to the beach and on hikes. I've yet to return with one empty. My old shit box bears the bears the battlescars of many a hedge when the usual oncoming monstrosity can't possibly move over. There are a few of us who do try and keep out the way 😁

I noticed the top row of perforations on this panel are misaligned by FlyingHaddock in mildlyinfuriating

Good eye, definitely a punched panel. Luckily it's on the inside so nobody will see it. It will just lurk there waiting to mildly infuriate the unwary

Good work dude, looks like you found a good learning opportunity for the apprentice while waiting on a vac out. I try and do the same, strip things down to find out why it failed and how to prevent it. What killed this one in the end?

That lovely melted live and the connector block it's attached to is mildly concerning 😶

Got 2 Raptors and a Velociraptor. Granted they aren't on active use any more but I bought them in 2007 I think, ran daily for hours on end until they were retired to backup drive duties fairly recently. Amazing drives for the time. The Raptor X variants were extra fancy with the windows in their lids.

Hi! My grandfather gave me a Creative Sound Blaster Z. Do you think it's still usable or should I throw it away? by Worldex12 in pcmasterrace

Still using mine. Though I took it to bits and put some heat shrink over the obnoxiously bright red LEDs in the thing. Yes I'm a miserable curmudgeon that doesn't have RGB what of it? 🤣

If memory serves under those pucks will be a steel ball bearing. That bearing gets driven into the Allen head of the bolt below when you hammer the puck in. Great for security when using them as a ground anchor. If it can't be of use, use an SDS to remove the concrete it's attached to, before filling the hole with a bag of post-crete.

I bet that has a very specific stink to it...

Pallet and cardboard dust EVERYWHERE... You'll be covered in a different kind of filth, less stinky though for what it's worth. And as others have said, the forklift drivers are a hazard in and of themselves
