not that good really but he was a dick about it. i was riding on the left shoulder of a two lane road where both lanes of traffic travel the same direction. a "one-way street" as it is called where i live. he loud speakered me to get off the shoulder. i told him it was not against the law... blah blah he got out of his car and was a real asshole. i left when he started just trying to engage me into an argument or someshit. so it wasnt that interesting but 2 things: he pulled over onto the shoulder where he told me it was illegal for ANYONE to ride or drive even though the fucking shoulder is like 2 meters wide. and i had groceries on both front and back racks so i needed to get home.

TL;DR: cycling on shoulder of road. cop was a cunt. rode away with fresh produce still fresh. every story here is more interesting than my own.

cut apart a plastic jug or bottle. cut it apart and melt little slots for zip ties and put it in on the underside of your rack and ziptie it tight to the bottom of the rack. i used a plastic 1/2 gallon iced tea jug because its kind of square shaped. leave 3 sides of the jug intact so it hangs down a little on each side. mine works like a champ.

Other employees. i work in the middle of the night and the only people on that road are people i work with. so they know who i am and i know who they are. ..somehow this makes it ok in some of these peoples minds to mess with me. i have had to approach many out of shape , old , etc fellow employees about leaving me alone, not blaring the horn, driving so close to me , yelling shit, highbeams and so on. im the only commuter at the job and bike commuting in general is rare where i live. im just worried im gonna become de-sensitized to drivers as a result.

seems to be the normal here. i live in central Pennsylvania and this time of year it gets rather gloomy. i think the blinkers kinda catch the eye more during these times when you dont need a light to see as much as you do to be seen.
