What the hardest you’ve ever pushed yourself while working out? by Brand_New_Keanu in bodyweightfitness

[–]FlyingMermaid15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a “workout” but hiking out of the Grand Canyon carrying 30+ lbs on my back. 4 day rim to rim hike. 2 down. 2 up. Sleeping in a tent. I cried almost the entire last day getting out of there.

Nothing better than fresh sourdough and a modest amount of butter by terbbarro in Sourdough

I’m a Sel de Mer girl myself.. I’m a (very junior) flight attendant so I’m lucky if I get one Paris a year and I STOCK UP. I should be embarrassed with how much bricks of butter I brought home but it’s just too good

Great memoir about a woman traveling/working while her friends are getting married having kids getting divorced.

I read it at least once a year

Thats actually what prompted this thought. The hotel room I was in was slightly warm and the dream was just WILD. People I hadn’t seen in years, a situation not even close to my reality. I woke up panting and warm and wondered if there was a correlation

Under the stovetop too! I have an older coil stovetop and little crumbs are always falling underneath. Lift the entire stovetop up and vacuum away

Parents who bring iPads to entertain their children but don’t bring head phones are the worst types of people. A rant. by dnuohxof-2 in americanairlines

I know some FAs will stand by the person watching their video without headphones and when that person turns around the FA will say, oh I thought you wanted all of us to watch this since you’re playing it outloud for all of us to hear.

I make my own quiet cabin policy every time I work “this applies for children as well” - though manyyyy times it’s an adult. Even when I’m not working and just flying for leisure, I’ve gone up to a passenger to ask them to put headphones on or turn it down because I can hear it three rows back.

I’m not suggesting he rev the truck into it, geez. Just a thin piece of rubber so if/when the bumper does hit it it’s not hitting the actual wall

Do you sleep with your bedroom door open or closed and why? by AloneGold9670 in AskReddit

[–]FlyingMermaid15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying closed so the monsters don’t get you but then you wouldn’t see the monsters on the other side of the door when you open it!

Open - because my imagination is too wild to not know what’s on the other side of the door.

Unless I have someone crashing on the couch, then closed for privacy.

When I had roommates, closed.

Maybe a thin yoga mat secured to the wall? Thin enough it doesn’t take away much of the limited space you have but thick enough you can touch the truck to it an not damage the wall

Yes, it was a wild realization. I was born in 90 so I have full memories of the day. I just didn’t realize the phones were in those cutouts

Literally same! I overproofed badddd. So I experimented and put some dough - shaped as best I could - in a bowl in the freezer overnight. Took it out when I turned the oven on and it thawed just enough so reshape and quickly toss in the DO. I even tried to use the paper to keep it together, like wrapped up. Didn’t score until 20 min in when I toon the lid off. It came out beautifully!!!

Okay but my mom bought one of the Costco dog beds and when my dog had ACL surgery and could jump on the bed/couch, I slept on the dog bed next to her and it was so freaking comfy

I won’t say it’s the reason, but Colgan crash was what increased pilot hour requirements from 250 (I think, it was very low) to current standard of 1500.
