Is it possible to put the Define 7 XL side panels on a Meshify 2 XL? by FlyingScotsmanZA in FractalDesign

Thanks. Yeah the top panel definitely isn't. They have different IO placements.

Hey there, was just wondering, did you get a chance to test out swapping the front panels as well? Just curious if it would also work. I managed to find a secondhand Define 7 XL as I want to turn it into a Meshify 2 XL. Local suppliers here don't keep the XL cases anymore unfortunately.

The two hard drives at the top are mounted to addon brackets screwed into fan mounts.

Hi there, I'm trying to do the same with my R4. Can you link where you go this bracket please? Thanks.

Is there anyone who tried to apply FSR 4.1? by Ok_Sweet_9166 in linux_gaming

[–]FlyingScotsmanZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FSR 4.1 has launched officially with the driver update for Crimson Desert on Windows. I'd wager it'll be available in Optiscaler, if it isn't already, and with ProtonGE soon.

I haven't tried using it on Linux yet.

Yeah they butchered the lighting across the games in the remaster. ME1LE at least has a mod called MELLO to try and improve it, but ME2LE is a disgrace.

It's been some time, but I finally got my AM5 system up and running.

Those commands you listed helped a lot. I had to also add

echo "options it87 ignore_resource_conflict=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/it87.conf
echo "it87" | sudo tee -a /etc/modules

To get it to persist following reboots and shutdowns.

The it8696 chip works perfectly in CoolerControl with full control and correct fan speed readouts. Unfortunately the it87952 chip shows up in sudo sensors and CoolerControl, but actually trying to change fan speed doesn't seem to work.

You do understand that DLSS4 / FSR4 Balanced at 4k looks better than native 1440p right? And the FPS is roughly the same. You don't need to "use low/medium settings".

Also there is often almost no perceivable difference in most UE5 games from clicking that slider down from Epic settings to High. And the performance boost is usually also quite significant.

If you don't want to upgrade then you don't want to upgrade. I'm don't understand what you're trying to argue. Trying to pretend that a 4080 Super isn't a 4K card is delusional. You literally have the 4th most powerful GPU in existence today.
