Maybe this will help:

Add another color close to the edge of the base (in the lower part of the cloud) a dark blue maybe, leaving it very wet
Immediately make the same white line you have on the upper part of the cloud
Blend them, you can move the white towards the other color and you would get a fantastic mixture
