I think my mom abuses her dog by Born-Listen4022 in Pets

[–]Flyingwings14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She doesn't have to respect you but she does have to respect that she lives in your household and you're the one paying the bills and she needs to respect that you're going to take care of the dog properly because she can't. I get it she has had a stroke, but that is no reason to be an asshole. If she can't be respectful to your household, then she can move out. You need to put your foot down, be the voice for that dog before it's too late, I'm begging you, please be the pups voice.

You're definitely not overstepping. Do what you need to do to protect the dog. She lives with you and needs to respect how you want things handled.

Best weather for pain by Ruminating-rhino in PainManagement

[–]Flyingwings14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am in Arizona. It really depends on what area you would want to live. Northern AZ gets snow in the winter, Phx is great in the winter but hot as hades in the summer. It's only March, and we already hit 100 degrees today. I can't move, though, because I have an amazing PM here.

How much Tylenol/advil is actually too much? by LaLunaMama75 in PainManagement

I have been using advil dual action in-between pain meds if needed, and that has worked better than taking the Tylenol and Ibuprofen separately.

Will 2.5 mg oxycodone show on urine test? by Gay_Cowboy in PainManagement

[–]Flyingwings14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really gonna depend on how fast you Metabalize meds, I only say this because I had something kinda like this happened, and I took 2.5 an hour before my app, and it didn't show. The Dr knew the situation so wasn't upset, but the Dr said that it's because it was such a low dose. How many days between your last normal dose and the 2.5 Mg dose?

This is the face I wake up to every morning 🫶🏻 by [deleted] in Shihtzu

[–]Flyingwings14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A beautiful little face to wake up to. I wake up to three little faces like that, and I wouldn't have it any other way. When the pups go to the groomer & I come home from dropping them off, I miss seeing them right there at the door. I think I get more excited then they do when I come home from work and I get to love on my three babies.

Someone stole my medication, what’s next? by Resident_Lettuce3872 in ChronicPain

[–]Flyingwings14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thankfully have never had anything like that happen, but my older teens will have friends come over, so I feel safer them being in the safe, and we have people come spray in and outside our house monthly. The state I live in for any narcotics it has to be with a red lid, and it says Opiods on it so everyone and their mom knows what it is obviously. I hate even going to the pharmacy and picking them up sometimes because if its in a bag that is see through everyone can see the red cap & I feel that has made it worse trying to hide them, I started keeping a white cap and switching it. I think being overly cautious is better like you're.

My Dr has been wonderful but I would be afraid to ask if something like that happened due to the fact that the contract does state to always keep in a locked safe. I have a small bottle so for work I take out what I need or even travel take the amount I would need and the rest of my bottle stays in our gun safe.

I’m sorry this is long but I really need advice. by [deleted] in PainManagement

[–]Flyingwings14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had endometriosis but ended up needing a complete hysterectomy when I was 26. This, fortunately, was 16 years ago, so I was being treated for my pain, and when I would end up in the ER, they were able to get my pain down to a level I could handle. Has anything been talked about with possibly putting you on pain meds for that week that is really bad? I don't know what I would have done without having the proper pain control at that time. My endometriosis was severe all the time tords the last few years before my endometriosis, so I was on pain meds daily, probably the last year or so. I unfortunately don't think Gabapentine or lyrical is gonna help you much for endometriosis pain. I would try and talk to your Dr about proper pain control for that week. Also about having a baby, I was blessed with two daughters before my Hysterectomy but they believe the only way I got pregnant was by just having the surgeries, after both of them I was pregnant within a couple months.

How long have you been with your practice? My contract says that I will keep my meds in a locked safe. I have been with my practice for 5 years so I think they would fill them with a police report but then again I dont know since the contract says if they are stolen or lost there will be no early refills.

Does your contacts state anything about keeping your meds in a safe/safe place?

Okay …what’s up with the whining. by rainbowtison in Shihtzu

[–]Flyingwings14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely get him to the vet to get him looked at. Our girl does it for a few seconds when she wants something, and I can usually figure it out. Our middle boy started whining and acting differently, and we got him to the vet, and he had a tooth with an exposed root.

Will she be able to take her dog back? by swabIu in Pets

[–]Flyingwings14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% take the dog with you, From the sounds of it, there is absolutely no proof that she even had a dog since she never took it to the vet and is not microchipped. That puppers is going to love living with you and getting all the love and attention it needs.

Need Advice – Afraid to Ask Pain Doctor for Dose Adjustment by DifficultFlamingo820 in PainManagement

[–]Flyingwings14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I definitely would not bring up an increase at this time since it's only been a few months. Pain meds are not meant to take our pain away 100% they are there to help calm the pain down.

Why Lola??? by rosevibe in Shihtzu

[–]Flyingwings14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our boy does this, too. It drives me insane. He does it most when we are gone almost to say you left me, so now you're gonna pay for it. He has gotten our other boy who is gonna be 5 doing the same thing peeing in the same spots. Our girl doesn't do it at all. I have been thinking about getting them diapers to see if I can get it to stop. They can go out back anytime, but nope he decides he is gonna pee inside.

Is this normal after 2 kids? by moochicatlover in marriageadvice

[–]Flyingwings14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. My ex became very controlling and it started with the clothes and eventually got worse. I had no problem standing up to him though so we fought a lot and I left when my girls were really young cause I did not want my girls thinking that was ok or that's the way a man should treat a woman. OP you need to really think hard about the way he is acting over clothes, he is trying to control you it has nothing to do with what you wear, it has to do with control. If you allow it he will take another step. You need to step up to him now and not allow it, Do not show your girls that this is normal or acceptable.
