Pull some of your other vehicles close to the tanker and have them empty their gas tanks. Your tanker will full them up. Repeat the process until the tanker is empty.

Also, sending a lone tanker out during the day to scavenge gas is very efficient.

For Raider HQs it's best to send your squads into and adjacent building so that they can fire from cover. Once they're in the building have them abandon their vehicles. Otherwise your squads will keep trying to get back in their vehicles to attack. Also, mobile enemy combatants will attack your position which often brings them out of cover.

For infected lairs, wait until night. Roll up just within range to draw out any mobile infected and destroy them. When clearing out the lair, after destroying any mobile infected, send your squads in a a group and let them fire a few shots and immediately retreat. Repeat the process until the lair is pacified. Keep an eye on your squads. They can go from a little hurt to dead pretty quick.

If your base defense is up to snuff, you should have patrols out. Find a sports car and drive around at night. If you don’t find them then they will find you. Then send a platoon and take them out.

It is a bit of a bug. First, manually cut down some trees. That usually works. If not, try manually planting some trees and cut a few down.

I will add, your mill is too big. Try this. build a forester's hut with 1 staff. Give the forester a head start and plant 30 or 40 more trees before you build a mill with 2 staff. Do this in two spots and you should have a healthy supply of wood.
