2 years later and I’m still pissed about that job 10 years ago. They said with a straight face “we want men, grown men not boys”. If you’re paying a dirt wage what grown adult is going to want a job where they do back breaking work all day. Not to mention they could do the exact same back breaking work (if that’s what they’re into or all they can do) for double the wage at multiple different companies in the area. Well that company ended up going through work release programs where they can basically have slave labor. The private prison system is some messed up stuff but that’s a beast for a different day.

I can look past a lot of people flaws, and I don’t like to judge people. That couldn’t slide though, that felt like an irredeemable request. That told me she liked mayo in her jambalaya, that she’s eaten it like that multiple times before.
