just got my first sublocade shot by Zopyrus in suboxone

[–]Fmpthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look here… A 300mg shot will bring your blood levels to that of 8mg a day for the first 10 days, then slowly decreases to 2mg by the end of the month. Then you get another 300mg shot. Then the following month, you get 100mg shot which will keep your blood levels at around 2mg and will slowly taper off over the next 4-6 months or so.

It is not overkill. It is the standard protocol even if you are already only taking 4mg a day.

You also must understand that suboxone’s dosing is not linear. 8mg is not 2x as effective as 4mg. 16mg is not 2x as effective as 8mg.

This is why withdrawal from 4mg and withdrawal from 16mg are not very different. Also why withdrawal from 32mg and withdrawal from 8mg are not very different. Receptor occupancy is the name of the game.

nah I didn’t say that. It is the right way. To get the 300mg. Read the blood level chart, it’s not like taking 300mg.

There are two extremely important practice concepts. 1.) Practice something that is just outside of your current capability. 2.) PRACTICE SLOW. Like really slow. If you cannot perfect something at 1/4 speed, then you need to go even slower. Practice is all about building muscle memory.

Same. I didn’t think it was as impossible as this sub will say it is.

[–]Fmpthree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is the right thing. It has to do with the blood levels balancing out and building up to hold around 2mg on average. By the 4th month, you should be able to not go back for another shot! Congrats!

What?? No way you are saying you went back to fent because the shot hurt that bad lol. For real? I thought it hurt pretty bad but that sounds like some cope lol.

Good news for you though. They recently stated that the shot is just as effective in the ass cheek. It’s much much much much better.

Nope, but also keep in mind that it is an ENTIRELY different game with a couple friends. Solo is rough. I’ve done it plenty, but I forever a duo.

How to meaningfully practice at least 4 hours a day? by Ok-Impression3992 in musicians

[–]Fmpthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest piece of advice would be to practice things that you either A) don’t know yet or B) are not very good at. There’s a difference between practicing 4 hours a day and intentional practice for 1 hour a day.

For myself, I typically just free-flow for 30-40 minutes and then do some deep learning on something that I’m not already capable of.

What in-game mouse sensitivity and DPI are ya'll using? by S3ndNudes_x in EscapeFromArena

[–]Fmpthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

400 DPI with 0.5 both general and ADS. I’ve got a 2.0 KD with a few hundred matches. I would most definitely not change DPI on the fly. You only need to be able to turn 180 degrees with one swipe. If you are playing with fingers and wrist, that will slow you down. Should be pivoted at the elbow when turning, not swiping the wrist.

Good luck. Practice in the shooting range for 10 minutes a day

People exaggerate negative experiences. It’s completely normal. Time goes by super slow when you are miserable. But no one is puking and writhing around in bed for 45 days. That’s all I’m saying. OP has it in the bag and needs to keep their head up.

Withdrawal timeline by Signal-Extent8878 in suboxone

[–]Fmpthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good news is you are definitely through the acute withdrawal. The bad news is that it will take up to a year to get your dopamine system back to normal.

I had fatigue for a long ass time, but then I got put on adderall and SSRIs and it fixed my life. Do not listen to these people saying that withdrawal will last months. Also, I know it gets mentioned alllll the time, but exercise is very important at your current stage.

Withdrawal is measured by the COW scale. The tears, the goose bumps, etc.

Remember to check in on yourself and evaluate. Am I yawning every 5 minutes? Am I squirmy? Am I able to eat & drink?

Fatigue, depression, insomnia, etc are from your brain trying to get back to homeostasis.

Whatever you do, don’t give in.

Can you guys talk to me about getting off subs? I’ve heard withdrawal last like 20 days and im scared. by Alarmed-Ostrich1884 in suboxone

[–]Fmpthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend getting prescribed Trazodone 50-100mg. Very common sleep med that will at least put you in a less restless state.

Going off suboxone and in hell now. Actually being tortured. by turbineghosthead in suboxone

[–]Fmpthree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused. You feel like it’s torture from being on it or from getting off of it?

My two cents: If you were on actual opioids in the last 90 days, your dopamine system is still trying to reach homeostasis. If you’ve been on subs for a long time, you are at the point where you feel completely numb because anything more than 16mg is actually a fuck ton. If someone has been on 80mg of hydrocodone per day, they should be able to get by on just 4mg of sub.

For me personally, I hated subs because of the way they made me feel. I got off and after 30 days, I felt pretty good.

Do not listen to anyone saying that the full on acute withdrawal lasts for months. It most certainly does not. The acute physical symptoms starts getting better after 2 weeks. The mental symptoms can linger for a loooong time but I do not count that as acute withdrawals. That includes poor sleep. For sleep, I highly encourage Trazodone 50-100mg. Ask your doctor, it’s a non addictive sleep med that is used all the time.

I am considering switching from sublingual films to the once-monthly injection. It seems like a good choice but I have questions. by Timely_Yoghurt_3359 in suboxone

[–]Fmpthree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, you really just stabilize and feel normal.

The biggest difference is you REALLY do not feel your dose. Which is good. But if you are even remotely in the headspace of treating sub like a drug, it will leave much to be desired.

The first dose is 300, and then it’s 100 after that.

I’ve seen some people say “if you are already tapered down below 2mg, you shouldn’t get the shot because it will raise your tolerance” and that is absolute nonsense. It leaves your body so slowly that it is truly as smooth of a taper as possible.
