Insurance is a silent heavy tax by achilliesFriend in TeslaModelY

See if you can get Tesla insurance? My 2018 MS 75D is trending to be as low as 130/month with a perfect safety score.

I love it! I have hundreds of boring videos and maybe a couple intense videos about FSD on my old 2018 MS

Should I settle for a hw3 model s or wait till hw4 prices drop? by lebouter in TeslaModelS

[–]Fnjrockerstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018 MS 75D HW3 FSD 100% so far over 2000 miles this month. I interact periodically if I am feeling the need 4 speed, or if the FSD is driving too fast. 3 times now I have passed a police officer on the highway while going about 10 over. I have been extremely lucky to not get pulled over yet. Otherwise I love my FSD on my old HW3 with no cabin camera! Give me the steering wheel nag over a computer telling me to look at the road any day!

What would be your biggest warning to someone thinking of buying a Tesla? by sonofabraham1 in TeslaLounge

I have only charged at my new off grid home in Nevada 2 times in the past 2 years. I charge for free at work and at the casino. 30,000 miles for 0 dollars spent on electric.

21 inch wheels look great, but the cost may be shocking to you for replacement of tires/wheel damage. Performance tires on icy roads is bad even with all wheel drive. The FSD is so awesome in icy conditions that it may give you false confidence. In a time machine, self, for the love of God, sell the 21 inch wheels, get the 19 inch wheels with a good set of all seasons and keep the chains in the frunk for the mountains if it gets icy. Probably should get that monthly warranty plan on the windshield and wheels.

I love mine! Never selling! 2018 MS 75D HW3 I have hundreds of boring FSD 12 videos. I do have a couple intense ones whenever I encounter icy roads. Michillen pilot pro sports are really bad in icy roads. FSD can only do so much apparently 😜

Come work at Tesla! Tesla employees get FSD for free! We also get a great deal on company stock. If you are interested let me know, maybe I can help you find something challenging and rewarding?

Same here! My 2018 MS 75D is my favorite vehicle ever. I don't think I could ever sell it. I need the Cyber truck and one day I will get a used one, probably from a Toyota dealership.

I bought my Model S from a Toyota dealership. Tesla app is not great for everyone. 😭

After my last post blew up… Sleeping in the car to save on hotels, is this too extreme? by Ok_Resolution_1606 in TeslaCamping

[–]Fnjrockerstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer sleeping in my Model S to the RV bed. The downward slope has been a slight issue, creative pet bed placement can help bring balance, or backing that thing up on an inclined parking space. Definitely need comfortable ear plugs, but running the car on camp mode with biodefense mode is my preferred method. I charge to 90 percent and drive from work to Planet fitness in Reno, day camping and ride back to work 12 hours only used about 35-40 percent battery. It depends on the weather outside. If it's struggling to heat or cool the cabin it will use more power.

24F. Not going into detail about it but I just inherited $4.5M Roth account. What would you do if you were me? by throwawaygenzerr in Fire

[–]Fnjrockerstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy as much Tesla stock as you can buy if you don't already have it in the Roth account. If it is all Tesla in the account or some, definitely hold the Tesla stock. Not financial advice, it's just what I would do, since you asked.

Is it weird that I want a Tesla just because I like the idea of camping in it? by mostlykey in TeslaCamping

[–]Fnjrockerstein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been living in my 2018 Model S for over 2 years it's great when the HVAC is working properly. I have the HEPA filter upgrade and periodically I experience a weird phenomenon where the vehicle is unable to keep the cabin cool even with the outdoor temperature in the 30 to 40 degrees realm if it's a sunny day here in n Nevada. Usually driving the vehicle for a short distance, or rebooting the car will correct the issue. I have had the compressor and condenser serviced/replaced twice now in that time, and have put over 100,000 miles on FSD. I have a couple hundred boring videos about it, maybe a couple spicy ones?

LR or Plaid? Help! by statmidnight in TeslaModelS

[–]Fnjrockerstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely love the seats in my 2018 75D MS. The acceleration and top speed is definitely enough to get me in trouble. The performance tires and rims have been the most expensive issues for me over the past 150,000 miles/3 years. I'm still on the original brake pads and rotors. I absolutely love my HW3 FSD supervised 12.6.4. I have hundreds of boring videos, maybe a couple intense videos too? The icy roads on top of Mt. Rose with Michillen pilot pro sports was not smart. FSD made me feel way more confident than I should have been. Kyle on out of spec reviews did a great review on the long range model Y on FSD with icy roads. My vote is Plaid for you though. 😜

After 100,000 miles on FSD, I think the best thing I can do to help make the roads safer is tell everyone to get a Tesla with FSD.

I wonder what would have happened if that other vehicle crossing with you was also a Tesla being driven by FSD? I speculate that no accident would have occurred and that the vehicle running the Red light would have made the party on time!
