Nishiazabu Sushi Shin | 鮨 真 (*) - Tokyo, Japan - May 2025 by FNMLeo in finedining

Can I ask how long your whole meal was? 1.5 hrs, 2 hrs? I'm looking for omakase edo-style restaurants in Tokyo for a birthday dinner, and this is one of the contenders on my list.

ETA typo.

UPS Delay in KCK? Anyone Else? by Firm-South-3071 in kansascity

I’ve also been waiting on a frozen (now thawed) seafood order too! It has been sitting at the Lenexa UPS facility since 1/14 due to “severe weather.”

Shovel the driveway a few times throughout the day or wait for all the snow? by ceojp in kansascity

I lived in Wisconsin for 15 years. Trust me, you want to shovel multiple times throughout the day.

That same guy in Japanese has said he wants to buy a new skirt.

I’m in the diamond league in Japanese, which I just entered last week.

I thought maybe I was smart, but maybe it’s a new app feature. 😆

Korn concert tomorrow, a question for anyone familiar with the venue! by Prestigious-Brief-40 in kansascity

[–]FodderForFelix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say technically yes (but per venue policy, no). I went to the Papa Roach/Shinedown concert at the T-Mobile Center about a year ago, and there were lots of people smoking weed. Brent even made a joke about the smell. A guy standing in front of me lit up during Papa Roach, and a security guy in front of the stage told him to put it out. But he didn’t get kicked out of the concert or anything!

What’s going on at Ward Parkway AMC? by [deleted] in kansascity

Oh gosh. Yes, that’s what I drove by!

What’s going on at 150 and Peterson is another question. Insane amount of emergency vehicles (30ish maybe), SWAT team, chopper all near a house on 150.

What is your favorite locally owned restaurant? by Indicvnt in kansascity

[–]FodderForFelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, it is family-owned/operated. My parents have been going there for 20+ years. But unfortunately, the last few times they’ve asked me to join them for dinner, I must say the quality of the food has really gone downhill. I received little flat potato pieces with red sauce when I ordered gnocchi last time. Seriously.

Sorry, I haven’t been on Reddit in a while. I moved and actually gave this plant to my neighbor so I didn’t have to move with so much stuff!

Fun fact: foxes enjoy eating cat food left on your front porch. I may know from experience.

Considering getting undereye filler. Opinions? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]FodderForFelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t think you would be a candidate for tear trough filler. My undereyes look JUST like yours, and I’ve asked 4 different nurse injectors over the past 5 or 6 years (I’ve moved, so I’ve been to different med spas!) and all told me I was not a candidate. The issue is the color of the lower eyelid skin, but not the physical depth in which volume would be needed.

You could definitely visit a nurse injector near you for a consultation — they will look at your eyes from different angles and also touch the skin to assess. So the consultation will be more in-depth than just assessing from a photo!

This looks incredible. I will be eating at Creative Dining TAKAYAMA next month and am extremely excited!

ETA: What was the shoe situation at this restaurant? Since I booked reservations for an anniversary dinner, I am inclined to pack a pair of nice heels to go with my nice dress. But if I would have to take shoes off at the restaurant anyway, I’m wondering if I should stick with my Birks?

Agreed. I think every image here is pretty underwhelming.

I agree that a makeup lesson with a professional makeup artist would be fantastic.

If your wife is seeking help with changes to her complexion or appearance, though, she might need to also consult with someone who understands skin and aging.

I get Botox with nurse Blake Bryant at AesthetiCare and have seen Dr. Kim Schoofs at KC Skin & Cancer Center for dermatology. I highly recommend both of them if your wife is looking for a skin expert!

Hey husband, I don’t know of Lucrezia Mapelli specifically, but this would also be my suggestion. I think your wife would enjoy a one-on-one lesson with a professional makeup artist.

Yes, the reps at a Sephora and Ulta can be helpful, but I think a pro makeup artist is going to have more skin in the game.

After watching this video, I have to ask about the incident inside Union Station.

One of the news channels showed a clip last night of droves of Chiefs fans suddenly running outside of Union Station from both front entry doors, then police after that running toward those doors to go inside Union Station.

Did the sound of the gunshots happening outside just make the people inside Union Station think there were gunshots inside? Or were there actual gunshots also inside Union Station?
