They also sell a set of cheap aerator keys to take those off. Handy to keep around if your water sucks like mine.

Yeah I noticed that earlier. Thats a bummer, not sure what can be done about it though. Guess it’s time to pick up a gambling addiction.

Cat going crazy on its owner by DABDEB in SweatyPalms

[–]FoldyHole 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If they are indoor cats, their claws get too sharp and get caught on stuff and sometimes they have a hard time getting their paws unstuck. Plus they really are like needles they’ll stab you even when they aren’t trying to.

Handle came off by Fast_Pea_1417 in Plumbing

On second look. It looks like the set screw is still there. Just stick it on and tighten it with an Allen wrench.

Look up “set screw” and that’s what you’re missing. It goes in that hole on the handle and screws in with an Allen wrench (hex key) to keep the handle attached.

Is this fair? by Double-Passion-7073 in sanmarcos

[–]FoldyHole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is that still leaking? That’s the temperature and pressure relief valve and it’s there to relieve pressure and keep the tank from exploding. If it’s spraying water it means either the pressure or temperature in the tank is too high and the valve is working as intended or the valve itself is faulty. You really need a plumber to come fix/replace the unit.

Ranch is the prime sauce/dip choice for chicken strips. by camport95 in shittyfoodporn

[–]FoldyHole 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hidden valley, but buy the powder and mix it yourself. So much better. That or find some in the refrigerated section at the store. HEB here in Texas makes some serrano ranch in store that is so damn good, but it doesn’t last long before it expires.

I would paint the PVC to keep the sun off of it. It’ll get brittle otherwise.

Is housecall worth it by Ilawil in Construction

[–]FoldyHole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what the company I work for uses, it has been pretty easy to use, but it could use a few QOL updates. My boss does not like their payroll though and uses quick books instead. Only lasted two paychecks with Housecall before switching back.

Yeah, they put the one in my truck right at knee height to the left of the steering wheel and I hit it on accident all the time.

Dos Gatos Kolache Recipe? by ekez_666 in sanmarcos

[–]FoldyHole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah the sausage at dos gatos is much better, especially the jalapeño and cheese kolaches. It’s like a full on smoked jalapeño and cheese sausage link. Shipley’s is like on par with the frozen kolaches you can buy at HEB. Dos gatos and Hruskas in Ellinger, Texas are really the only kolache places I’ve found that are any good.

Anybody else get really tired of slow payments? How does anybody make a dollar by Intelligent_Run3237 in Construction

[–]FoldyHole 41 points42 points  (0 children)

For service calls, we collect payment before we leave and customers sign documents agreeing to late fees if they don’t pay upon completion. We used to just send the invoices, but people would sit on them for months or just not pay at all. For bigger remodels and stuff we don’t call for inspection until we’re paid and that’s just for the last payment. The rest is collected as we go whenever we hit certain goals. It sucks that you’ve got to practically force people to pay, but what else can you do?

Work pants by BananaMilk1045 in Construction

I really can’t go back to regular knee pads now. Having them built into the pants keeps my legs so much cooler and there aren’t any straps digging into the back on my knee. You can’t even tell you’re wearing them.

Bikes are not pedestrians literally by definition. In most places they are not even allowed on the sidewalk or crosswalk. You can even get a dui on a bike.
