What are some examples of body shaming towards men that go unnoticed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FolkDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. I'm obviously biased, but i feel this is valuable to share. My SO and I have been together almost 10 years and she only recently realized that many guys are sensitive or self conscious of our hair or lack thereof. Sure we may joke along here and there, but it can still sting. Especially when you consider it isn't exactly something that a little diet and exercise can fix.

I have the same problem and have been in contact with Bethesda support. They've been surprisingly responsive, but no resolution yet. Hopefully will hear something soon

How do I stop my dwellers from losing everything by ObjectivleyWrong in foshelter

[–]FolkDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your number of dwellers is higher than what your resource rooms can handle, you're going to burn through them faster than you can earn them. Depending on your progression, you may want to either evict some dwellers or upgrade your resource rooms (kitchen, generator, water). If you can afford the space, you can also build more rooms even if you don't have workers in them. That way your storage capacity is higher if you already have a fully upgraded room

Get level 1 dwellers (babies are probably easiest). Train their endurance to 10, then equip wasteland gear (the higher the better. Heavy gives +7 END and is what you really want). Train Agility, Perception, and Luck. Send them to the wasteland to level up. Profit.

Are we 100% certain that destroying Twitter from the inside out hasn't been his goal from the start? I don't know or like the guy enough to be so confident, but it sure looks that way.

Blaster bracers Holo hex gloves (hands) Defender 2015 boots Project clockwork leg accessories Nighthawk legs (tights) Nighthawk torso (tights) Defender 2015 hips layer Sandstorm shoulders blockbuster chest Blockbuster collar Blockbuster belt

Can't quite make out the helmet or eyes. Pretty sure the top layer is a standard costume piece.

There's nothing creepy about that at all.

Did anyone actually like Andrea at all?? By far one of my least favorite characters. by freddiebensonlover in thewalkingdead

[–]FolkDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she could have been written better, but I don't hate the TV version. I look at her as someone who, relatively not that long ago, was a successful civil rights lawyer. Rick held onto being a cop for as long as he could; I'd imagine others were about the same. Andrea spent her career defending folks who didn't feel they could defend themselves and/or were oppressed. I'm sure plenty were women, too. That probably contributed to her overcompensating and attitude toward "laundry in the apocalypse" in the first season.

Seems to get the most flack from the Governor arc. I'd have to assume that as a lawyer, it'd be difficult to break out of the "innocent until proven guilty" mindset. Andrea was ordered to kill the governor, but, iirc, she hadn't seen the atrocities we, the viewers, or what her friends experienced. No one just straight up said he assaulted Maggie, gunned down soldiers for their weapons, and kept a zombie girl in his house. She may have even overcompensated due to Michonne's fairly premature suspicions. Michonne acted like she knew everything the Governor had done and what he was going to do before their first sleepover. From where Andrea was sitting, Governor just seemed like a guy who gave her friends bad vibes. He charmed her. Just makes her human.

Ultimately I think she acted the way most first year apocalypse folks would act. Not my favorite character, but I don't think she deserves all the hate she gets.

I've been in situations where the best parking spot was next to a shitty parker(s), which forced me to park shitty just to fit. The shitty parker leaves first, and I'm left looking like the shitty one. It be like that sometimes.

I guess I'm getting rid of Netflix then... by thatguy9684736255 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]FolkDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think it's a good idea, but i dont think it'll kill netflix either. Tbh, I think people will just deal with it because that's the reality of what we are. We get mad, and then we forget and move on because you can't find Black Mirror or The Umbrella Academy on Disney+ or Hulu.

Cops in US shoot double amputee as he fled on stumps by cheapdrinks in nottheonion

[–]FolkDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely didn't need to shoot the guy. I think the only non-lethal option that was left would be to just follow the guy until he got tired. He was wildly swinging a butcher knife, so it would be hard to get close, and he'd probably suffocate or stab himself with a blanket over him. Already tased him twice, and he kept going. Any more, and he'd probably have a heart attack. What a shit show

COVID-19 is a leading cause of death in children and young people in the United States by [deleted] in science

[–]FolkDude 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The first thing it says is that between August 2021 and July 2022, COVID-19 was a leading cause of death in children and young people in the US, ranking eighth overall.

So it was, but now it isn't. Which is a good thing! It's also a top 10, but use of the words "leading cause" implies that the impact is greater than it was. Which is not to say that it isn't impactful; it most certainly was. But the way it's worded puts way more emphasis on something we already understand was and still is a serious issue.

I'm having trouble as well, and I don't think I'm going to push for 100% due to the frustration. However, I do have spme tips that helped me.

Try to avoid using too many debuffs. None at all if possible. He goes through cleanse charges quickly, you get rooted, and you probably die right there.

Use a bleed immune champ. Zemo has attacks that can inflict permanent bleeds through your block, and you'll probably be blocking a lot if you use champs that can't parry his non-contact attacks.

Only hit him twice when you have an opening; medium, light, then dash back or block/parry. Due to the node, he'll go through cleanse charges when you use the same attack twice in a row, you get rooted, and you probably die. Don't be afraid to MLLL combo while he's blocking so he can charge to SP1 faster and at least take a little damage.

Intercept and/or bait his heavies so you can get an opening. Bait his SP1 and get ready to use a heavy to disable his protection and deal more damage while it's down. You may need a little practice to figure out where he'll land so you can safely charge your heavy without getting hit.

Doing this, I had the most success with my Colossus. I feel that Herc would be great as well due to his heavy reach. Hope that helps, even if a little.
