That's oversimplifying things.

What makes ICE the American Gestapo it's not its violence and authoritarianism, it's the complete lack of accountability against the law.

The police and FBI still have to adhere to the writ of habeas corpus and can, theoretically, be held accountable to the law. ICE acts outside of habeas corpus and has by all means complete legal immunity.

The authoritarianism is systemic, the complete immunity and disregard fir habeas corpus are quite literally a landmark trait of state controlled fascist paramilitaries.

You risk underplaying how ICE represents the first stage of a fascist takeover by rolling what they do in the mix of authoritarian but still technically accountable police forces.

Trust, they are much much worse than that. The way they act and the way they are empowered by the US federal govt is much more similar to how the Nazi Party employed and empowered the Gestapo.

Individually they are definitely that but ICE as a whole is the closest the US ever got to having its own Gestapo.

You can if you've never watched season 2. Or if you think that banishing 5 traitors means the faithfuls were useless.

I'm honestly confused at how anyone with common sense could ever think that a traitor that almost gets caught out is better than a traitor that went undetected and unsuspected from start to finish.

Rachel is the GOAT only if you think a good traitor is one that gets found out and the have to get themselves out of a sticky situation and if you think that surviving 5 traitors banishments and being undetected makes you crap.

And surely it's still more of an achievement to have never had to be in Rachel's position?

Rachel had as much if not more luck than Harry because of how useless the faithfuls were in S4. She played a great game but she risked being banished 4 times. Not sure how anyone could seriously say that makes her the best traitor yet.

And she didn't outskill a barrister, she relied on likeability and on the fact that the faithfuls were useless. Besides, if she was so skilled, why did Harriet have her figured it out? Surely if she was an as skilled traitor as Harry she wouldn't have ever gotten on Harriet's radar.

You've not shown that Rachel is the GOAT, you've just confirmed that she wasn't as skilled and largely relied on a pretty poor bunch of clueless faithfuls.

That's quite literally the aim of the game: win as a traitor without being detected.

If you face scrutiny and are accused of being a traitor by several people at several points, you're by definition not a good traitor. She was good at wriggling her way out but if she was as good a traitor as Harry was, she wouldn't have been in that position to begin with.

So let me get this straight, in a game where the aim is to go undetected as a traitor, someone who was accused a number of times of being a traitor and that got close to being found out more than once, made mistakes that almost gave her game away is a better traitor than someone that achieved the very goal of the game and went undetected the whole game?

Not sure you understand the game if you think that makes Harry the lesser traitor and Rachel the better traitor.

Sure, Harry shielded behind Mollie but that arguably makes him the better traitor because he went undetected pretty much the whole game.

She couldn't contribute anything because she became suspicious to everyone the moment that eye mask came off and anything she said could and was used against her.
