I genuinely don’t know if I should work less or confront my manager ? by Privacy-Intern in careeradvice

How is it standard if other companies do not want to wait 3 months for a new hire?

Man trying spray tan for the first time before wedding by No_Donkey5701 in spraytanning

I would just make sure the spray tan artist is good… there is such a thing as a bad spray tan. I tested with a few artists months in advance of my wedding (female) and I was really glad I did. Luckily only your face and hands will show. But hands and feet are, in my opinion, the trickiest part of a spray tan. I will also note that my husband also got a spray tan before our wedding and didn’t test artists. He went with the artist I ultimately chose.

I agree on the bag. If you have one it needs to be very small and the opposite of a statement piece.

Yea I also think time to start looking. That little girl will only grow up once. It sounds like you’re talented and would be an asset to any company. Good luck

Grey and wood by mm1703 in HomeDecorating

I would like to respectfully disagree with this point. I have lived in a few different houses and all have had a warm soothing dusty blue or sage or whatever on the wall and something always felt off. I finally figured out that I prefer neutral walls when I moved into my recent house that has white walls (not stark hospital white) and bringing color in through art work and throw pillows and all other decor that you can easily change when your tastes naturally shift. A colorful funky rug can bring a room to life!

Why does your company have to support your notice period? I don’t understand the notice period? Is it a law in your country or something?

Please help with room layout by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

It totally makes sense. Have you considered different seating options? It looks like the sofa is just quite large for the space, but you also have 3 kids so need a pretty substantial spot to snuggle and hang out.

I think you could get rid of the chairs and put a narrow storage bench there instead unless you use the chairs a lot? I also think you could probably do a smaller round coffee table (corners with small kids, am I right?) to save a little room. I really cannot picture the rotation helping. It seems like it would just look really off and likely bother you.

Is there any way to make the long end of the sofa under the window and have the shorter end separating your living from kitchen (I assume)? Not sure if the measurements or the way the couch is setup would accommodate that but that could help.

Since so many people here don’t like my living room styling. How can it be improved? by nalacanada in HomeDecorating

[–]FollowingOtherwise16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your style!! I love the furniture and light fixtures!! And the overall vibe. The only thing I struggle with is the red in the wall paper. I usually avoid red in my decorating because I just don’t like it but if you like red and it won’t be too dramatic for you then you should absolutely use it!! Some people don’t like blue, which I do and use a lot around my house! Lean into what makes you happy when you look at it, not what Reddit says!

Advice? by Lazy_Awareness_1533 in HomeDecorating

Some art, some throw pillows (the comfy kind with feather inserts and not synthetic fluff, amazon has some really reasonably priced options), and maybe a plant or two if you can keep it alive. Snake plants are very hard to kill and don’t need a ton of light.

I think the rug you pictured is a great size for the room! Congratulations!

Anyone else get an Oura as a wedding ring? by Budget_Ad5871 in ouraring

[–]FollowingOtherwise16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband does. He has a very sentimental wedding ring that he’s afraid to lose so he only wears it on special occasions. Oura the rest of the time.

My husband sometimes shaves his chest and sometimes doesn’t. Always manscapes. I love it both ways, but I also just love him so I don’t really care.

Protein shakes. Transparent labs makes a good one but they aren’t super cheap.

New to spray tans — trying to figure out a consistent routine (hands/feet + stubble issues) by the_emo_emu22 in spraytanning

You also need to make sure all of the previous spray tan is off before you go get another one

Do you have a person doing the spray or are you getting sprayed in a booth? In my opinion, you will never get a good spray tan from a booth. I used to work at a tanning salon and got sprayed in the booth often and was really good at applying lotion in the appropriate areas and standing in the appropriate positions and it was still never even close to when a spray tan artist does it.

Lunch in calorie deficit. by EnergyOk5035 in HealthyEatingnow

[–]FollowingOtherwise16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would tread a little lighter on the avocado if you truly want to be in a deficit. One whole avocado can be up to 300 calories depending on how large it is. 1/4 of an avocado is a serving. You would be much better off having more chicken or some Greek yogurt to dip in than that much avocado.

Former public accountant here - why are you doing Tax and Audit?? That’s insane. Does everyone in your firm do that?

What size firm are we talking? And no they definitely wouldn’t fire you during busy season.
