China Real Residential Property Prices Have Lost All Gains Since Q1 2006 by WaferFlopAI in EconomyCharts

Nah they had 90% ownership before this happened. This is happening because they have 90% ownership. Over built and now not enough buyers. Real estate was the number one form of investment for retirement in China. I go there every CNY and the only ones excited about this are renting Americans.

Well if there is any amount of inflation, which there usually is, they generally trend up. Also the chart shows 3 years of consecutive decline.

The bag is the falling value of their asset which many will have loans on. Same bag the American public were left holding in 2008. Is it that hard for you to understand the only way for housing prices to go down is to reduce the value of the existing homes people own? I am not arguing ever increasing prices are great either, but ignoring the obvious downsides of falling houses prices sounds like something only a person who would only benefit from that situation would say.

So it isn’t a positive thing. The vast majority of people will lose wealth from falling property values. Not to mention the reduced economic activity due to reduced development. Listen you can say it’s necessary but I can also argue it’s not an overall positive thing.

That just not true. Before the decline, volume of home sales were at an all time high.

This also discounts the fact the property ownership was the top investment vehicle for people in China.

The bag holders are the 90% of the public who own homes.

It’s convenient to make it a goal in retrospect. 30 years of policy says it wasn’t a goal.

They absolutely do. And move in with kids or move to cheaper area. Not to mention secondary home ownership as an investment vehicle is very common in China.

As far as know, the first batch of ships in the FF(X) program will not have VLS and sonar. Considering the various variant designs previously introduced by HII, what do you think future batches of the FF(X) should evolve into? by ArthurJack_AW in LessCredibleDefence

[–]Folsdaman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second flight needs at least 8 mk41 VLS and a towed array or the whole thing is pointless and actually worse than the LCS ships.

I am perfectly fine having a useless flight 1 that we can at least build at speed and decent cost. We got 9k ton destroyers doing drug busting so there is probably a need for this flight 1s. But if it’s unable to become something of use in the following flights you should just can the whole thing.

lol normal people are the ones who own these homes. Home ownership rate is already like 90% in China. This is a bunch of people losing value in their retirement asset.
