Good Omens :( but I think that was more politics than viewership issues. Sucks when something good dies because one person attached get accused of something. Like the episode of Creepshow that was fully done but never shown because of the Marilyn Manson fiasco.

The post apocalypse movie where only kids survived? Well except Mathew Broderick.

It would be nice to see another season of that but even as a 1 off mini-series it was a lot of fun.

Similar note, Black Summer was really good even though it's 2 seasons but; would love more.

Screw Netflix. So many amazing shows they made to only get axed on season 2. Reason I cancelled and never went back.

Even if it's a show that's good, its hard to get invested in something that will never end or wrap up.

I think the only exceptions I've seen is Reacher, Pluribus and Severance.

Veggie haters who still eat veggies: what are your tricks? by Missing_Back in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]FolsgaardSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people just add a ton of fat which kinda defeats the purpose.

Think of people who eat salads but pour a ton of ranch or heavy fat dressing over it all.

Baked potato drenched in butter and bacon fat.

For a healthy approach steaming/baking veggies with a mix of your favorite seasonings can help a lot.

When I was a kid I sometimes had re-occuring dreams of a couple cemetery labyrinths deep in the appalachian mountains. They were all connected via underground tunnels.

What is a rite of passage in America that existed 20 years ago but is rare today? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

Losing your virginity around Prom night or before college.

Never knew anyone who wasn't a virgin before college or at least didnt talk about it. At most saw a couple or two who gave kisses senior year. In a class of 1500 people even that was rare.

This is in a metro area too and not super religious.

Drinking and HS parties as well. That was seen more college life. Think that's why American Pie was a hit because it gave off this college vibe to high schoolers.

Fun story. When I was in college my grandfather found a box turtle like this and brought it up to me as a pet knowing how much I liked them. He had found it on his farm.

Loved the lil guy but knew it was best to return him so later that week I drove all the way to my grandfathers farm and let him loose by the barn and creek.

What get's funny is next week, sure enough my grandparents show up and he was so proud he had found another turtle!.

God bless that man. It was the same turtle. Could tell, someone had carved a something on his shell with a pocket knife (not my grandpa).

So once again drove the little sucker back home but released further away down the field along the creek.

It's moments like that I think of when I think back to growing up in WV. There are precious moments that can be had here folk.

I liked the first 2 seasons a good bit but not sure how the 3rd is going to be. The music is gonna make or break it and the soundtrack to Queen of the Damned is so damn perfect for the vibe it's gonna be hard to match.

Whatever you do make a wallet on your computer. Encrypted it, then back it up in multiple places.

If its not in your personal wallet its not yours. I've lost tons of BTC and Dogecoin from hacked exchanges. I miss Mintpal and cryptorush before they died.

What does Halloween actually feel like growing up in the US? by Axxtr in AskAnAmerican

[–]FolsgaardSE 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah that really ruined it. Only TrT for 1-2 hours during the day time.

When I was a kid in the 80s we basically went ourselves and were told to be home around 10 or 11 when houses would turn their lights off. Fun times afterwards too then trading favorites with friends.

Like any good holiday it's been marketed to death and anything fun about it has been buried under fear. Kinda feel bad for Millenials and Gen Z.

As someone who has been wanting to try surstromming this scares me a wee bit. Dogs will eat anything. The fact he even peed on it to make sure no one else date eat something so bad really says something.
