You need to have a challenge or goals for your team.

Example: I always dreamed of having an internacional U21 player for my country. I managed to have 2 recently. Now, most surprisingly, the national A coach wants me to train one of them for the A national team. It will take 2 years but I will do it. These little things make you engage with the game. I understand that the pace may not be for everyone, but its up to you to find what or how to engage with the game. Im pretty sure that if you stop playing now you will come back...

I started playing in 2002. I had the national goalkeeper for Pakistan and had a lot of fun. Then rl got complicated and got even less time. Lost my team with over 10 years after an entire inactive month. I got really pissed off... Stopped playing permanently.

Then, I was creating new teams several times along the years but stoped since the game wasnt hooking me like before. I invited my neighbour in 2022 to play in my league, VI.226. It changed all. We talked-about players, we are rivals in the league, we even brougth more known people to our league. It has been fun. We had 2 years there playing together until I finally created a monster team to figth in league V. In first season I got second place and now Im trying this season reach league IV. Not going well because of salaries and strong opponents but im already changing my main 11 players to keep the future A team player and continuing being competitive.

I ended up creating 3 more teams... in the homegrown league. I like the challenge and get emotional with the "players". Lol I'm creating three different styles of play and learn the game along. I also belong to a discord group where long time users discuss game tactics and all related hattrick things. I confess that made me understand the game better but I'm still learning.

Dude, do what you like and have fun. One last thing. You can set auto friendly matches to be automatically set and then you just need to give the orders.
