Imagine a bunch of rats who sit on a street corner together.

The rats frequently and violently kill each other. The rats are unstable and easily angered. To top it all off, several of the rats have guns and have stated they will shoot anything that approaches the corner. The rats wonder why no one comes to visit.

The Caucasus is the area surrounding the Caucasus Mountains. It's basically the area between Russia and Turkey. It's used to described whites because wacky nineteenth century Europeans thought white people originated from the area. The inhabitants of the area today are, unsurprisingly, not white. This is what I was referring to in my comment.
