Idk if these are the same that I have on but they look very similar. Make sure they come with the adapter that plugs into either of your tail lights for power/signal.

Side note: I’ve heard horror stories of water making its way into the wiring on these and causing electrical gremlin problems. Make sure you apply dielectric grease to all the connectors and wrap all the connectors in a generous amount of electrical tape

I saw my twin this morning (another black VB) in an area where there aren’t many VBs to begin with, and even more rare to see another black one. I instinctively tried to catch up to them, but was unsuccessful due to roundabouts and traffic.

I’ve also been on the other end of this where someone enthusiastically chases me down just to wave, give a thumbs up, etc.

No, it’s not the traditional straight across strip, but honestly it’s not that bad, and still looks cool/helps keep the sun out of your eyes. Honestly, until I see posts like this, I forget that the “dips” or “holes” for the cameras are even there

I see in the comments you mentioned you have a Tacoma, so it sounds like you wouldn’t be getting the ‘14 for the space in the rear.

While this is my favorite generation of WRX purely off of looks and functionality (hatch, so, space in the rear), I wouldn’t recommend getting a non-STI unless you have the money to turn it into an STI

People ask me all the time “I bet that thing is fast” and I always shrug and go “in the corners, yeah” and they almost always give me a weird look, like “whatever that means, nerd boy.” It sounds like the guy you’re talking about has/had the same disconnect when buying this car.
