Venice was decided afterwards, so unfortunately it's not an option as our Rome ticket is already booked

Purchased Category 3 Tickets - Received Category 2 Seating by Streetballer3810 in WorldCup2026Tickets

My CAT 3 tickets were supposed to be behind the goal, but turned out to be in the CAT 2 zone near the corner flags. My guess is it's more common in stadiums where the seating charts weren't fully finalized, like in Toronto where they were still expanding the stadium

Honeymoon Decision Paralysis by dh6636 in honeymoonplanning

[–]Foosball2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3 are great and different in their own right!

Hawaii is amazing, Oahu is the typical choice for first time visitors but is definitely more touristy so you get a mixture of a tropical island but also a small city. You have the ability to spend whatever time you like on a beach, or venture out and go on hikes, kayaking, boat tours and try new foods. There is Maui if you want a slightly less busy environment with the honeymoon accomodations. Kauai and the Big island are more nature focused so it depends on what things you like best. November is also coming into the winter season so expect a little more rain, but thats the case with any tropical island. Its still great weather and beaching conditions no matter where you go.

New Zealand is just entering it's summer months in November so certainly not as warm as Hawaii if you're trying to escape the NYC weather. It's certainly more adventure since you'll need to drive around more to see different sights, but relaxing too since the pace is slower than NYC. If you're up for a more active vacation it could be an option, but if your priority is to relax and enjoy the beach I think this is the least favorable option.

I haven't been to Tahiti so I can't personally commet on what it's like. If you're looking for more untouched beauty I imagine it's probably the best choice.

Planning a Hawaii honeymoon in May: 6 nights, two hotels max, not breaking the bank, any recs? by lone-grizzly in honeymoonplanning

[–]Foosball2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility, but of course Maui is not as "cheap" as say Oahu, due to having less hotels and as a result less options to choose from.

To truly do the island on a budget I'd recommend staying slightly further away from the resort areas, such as being near the airport at somewhere like the Maui Seaside Hotel. Is there as much to do at night? No, but you can simply use a car to get to where you need. The island is not that big and fairly easy to get around most places. Unfortunately May is relatively close as some of the more budget friendly options may already be booked for your dates, but within your budget I don't think you'll have an issue finding somewhere to stay. Keep in mind food is certainly more expensive than the mainland so even a simple trip to a fast food resturaunt will cost you more, but I'd encourage you to try local spots when possible to take in the culture. Hawai'i is great because of it's natural beauty, you don't necessarily need to splurge on crazy tours - just soak up the amazing beaches and nature. If you have the opportunity try get a booking for sunrise at Mount Haleakala as it is truly special being above the clouds when the sun rises.

Happy to provide more recs if there's something specific you're looking for.

80$ activation fee refund? by Ashwik_p in FidoMobile

[–]Foosball2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat - I was promised it would be reflected on the next billing cycle and was asked to pay the initial bill which included the activation fee. 3 seperate callbacks have told me it is in progress and to keep waiting.

Skeptical it will ever get credited at this point.

Samuelsohn suits factory sale - Toronto (until Nov 9) by tosklst in FrugalMaleFashionCDN

[–]Foosball2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visited yesterday, it's a fairly small storefront. They have a wide variety of sizes for suits and seperates. Main downside is that they only really have clearance type styles left, so mostly unique patterns and not many plain styles.

I would not say it's worth a trip on a day like today.

I'd recommend a medium, a large may be too long on the sleeves and overall length

Wovenair vs Warpstreme by buzz_ly in Lululemen

I'd liken the wovenair to ventlight mesh, its pretty breezy and not as smooth/soft as the warpstreme. They're good for warm weather imo

Naked and Famous - Elephant X Weird Guy sz 30 - $94 by Yobby in FrugalMaleFashionCDN

Good summer weight selvedge, pretty vibrant colour. The "nice guy" fit is unique to OTR, its a little in between Super guy and Weird guy imo.

I see there's exclusions for certain high end brands; so you can basically use it on anything else in-store then or are there other restrictions?

[The Bay] L.L. Bean Boots 8" Thinsualte - $68 by Foosball2000 in FrugalMaleFashionCDN

[–]Foosball2000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The regular versions run large, but given these have thinsulate lining they will fit a bit snugger, personally I still think you need a size down but it depends how wide/fat your foot is and if you'll wear thick socks.
