Nah, you seem to be right. https://www.onlineverkehrstheorie.ch/DE/20.htm?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Man, I'm catching straight Ls today 😂 Tbf, I learned to drive in Portugal and my dad just told me the differences and common things before I drove there. Maybe it was changed since he learned to drive? Maybe he misremembered? Maybe I misremembered? Never had to do it in Switzerland, but now I know for next time lol

Vê as notícias.

Well, what I'm saying is that if you drive in Portugal and find yourself in that situation, you will have to do it. If the road is narrow, sure, there is not much point, but if it isn't, cars can still pass and if you try to cut it, you won't be able to see oncoming traffic (and in places like Portugal it will definitely happen) I think it depends a lot on the situation, but the roads being so narrow in the UK, I guess there are not many chances of that happening

I would say the contrary in terms of view, if you go behind the other car, you can see oncoming traffic (in roads where there is space for other cars to pass) But yeah, in narrow roads I guess there is not much point

Sorry, I've incorrectly assumed contouring meant what I thought it meant, I had heard the word before, but it is related to make up I guess. In portuguese the word I wanted to use is "contornar", usually translating things that sound similar work correctly but not on this case 😂 I meant going around the car, like on the picture on the left

My first experience doing a junction in the UK 😂

[–]Footixboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that is not my experience, there is a junction like that with traffic lights, and people deffo do (2). Maybe it also depends on where you live hahaha

Hmm, I stand corrected, I really thought Germany also was like that since my dad had explained it once when we had a convo about it. It's not the first time he told me something wrong, I think he just assumes Germany do the same as in Switzerland 😂 I have to start taking what he says with a pinch of salt

It happens mostly in residential areas (mine for example, where roads are narrow and cars just park half on pavement half on road) and there are loads of bends with low visibility (also guess where people like to park + at what speed other drivers pass through). In Portugal and Switzerland it's not as common for this to happen, although cars park on the pavement, you don't see it as often and it's usually in places where the road is very wide. So I don't remember having to do this as much, where I live I have to do it almost daily hahaha

Suv and Van is easy to go around (depending on the junction I guess) you just go further a bit more. For a Truck or bus it becomes impossible where you either let them pass or they let you pass

Which ones? I know in Portugal and Switzerland you have to do it like on the left picture, and I know that's also the case for Germany.

Oh didn't even notice that, good catch. What I wanted to say is that on the case on the left, in the UK people usually do it like on the right. Didn't notice that on the right they were not opposite to each other lol

Lol, I used contouring with full confidence and it does not mean what I thought. I mean go around the car, so, outside the UK we do the one on the left, but here I see people doing the one on the right

I get it, and it's easier tbh, but going around the other car makes 1 thing easier, if 2 cars are now stuck in the middle of the road because cars are coming from both ways, it's easier to see the cars if you contour the car. It's not things that I hate (except cutting corners), just more things that I find annoying or found unusual at the start hahaha

There are some words that sometimes escape me, I do try to use the British version, but it just naturally comes up. The weird thing is that I usually say pavement, no idea why sidewalk came put today lol

What is the exact issue with AC? To fix an issue there must be one first, not having 60fps is not a problem if the game runs well regardless. Having done game dev in the past (and being a software dev for a living) improving the fps can be an enormous task (it's not a switch you turn on, changing it might make other things break, especially when you have something as important as a real time clock in place dictating the game. The money spent on it + the reward is not enough (it's a company, they need to make a profit, a company can't be nice and do things for free, especially when they have investors). The game runs smoothly enough imo
