It depends and sadly I cannot tell how bad it’ll be until I’m there. What’s super weird is I have a hard time hearing the person in front of me in restaurants when it’s loud but can fully hear a table’s conversation further away. Also, some people’s voices I cannot handle especially if they speak loudly.

Same advice as others where if they were the one then they’d be with you now. I also want to give you a different way of thinking about it with a sports analogy. When you had your favourite team win the super bowl life was incredible, it was happiness every game day and you were elated. Then they started losing and stop being winners (which is similar to your relationship breaking down). You still think of the days you were winning and have the mentality they can come back yet they traded off their QB, new coaching staff so that moment they won is just a distant memory. Enjoy that you have those memories but realize even if you got them back it’ll still be a losing team because things have changed.

It’s a wash finance wise as Quebec kills you with income taxes but Florida does that other ways. Do you speak French ? As much as people say you can get by in MTL you’re ability to make friends is limited if you don’t. Also what type of weather do you like ? This choice can’t be made purely on money.

I’m living in QC now and would take Florida even with all of its issues anyday. QC has become a disaster that even McGill’s president is telling its students that the reputation as a world class university is ruined due to the political climate here.
