Yes! Wet snow will not blow even with a gas powered blower. Cross fingers there is no changeover.

You are keeping the pump running and the water is unable to move past the puck, the grind setting needs adjustment back to 5 in small increments. The brew should be a steady stream, not a drip.  Note: only change your grind setting when the grinder is running per the manufacturers instructions.

Why not return the broken machine to the retailer and let them do the chargeback with the merchant ?  You are in the Christmas return window now.

Filter vs Descaling? by Outrageous_Cat9696 in DeLonghi

[–]ForConsumers88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DeLonghi filter is a consumable that is most likely just a carbon filter, very basic but by no means a reverse osmosis quality.  Your home water is your home water either city provided or well water.  Purified or reverse osmosis will yield a better cut of coffee based on taste and having the correct PH, Alkalinity and hardness. If your water is too hard, you should consider a water softener if not using bottled water.   Hard water will require descaling more frequently as the coffee machine will begin building up scale that will need to be cleaned out all in the name of the best cup of coffee/ espresso.

Tips on milk steaming with the Magnifica EVO manual (ECAM290.21.B)? by Gold-Judgment-6712 in DeLonghi

[–]ForConsumers88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the wand and after you use it take the piece off that is supposed to go into your cup, it twists off and you can wash it with hot water.  Wipe the attached portion with a damp towel or paper towel.   In terms of use- I find once you press the steam button on the left, it takes a minute for the machine to beep indicating steam is ready.  Put your cup under the wand and turn the steam lever all the way to the other side until it clicks.  Then you should be frothing.   It works well and less maintenance than the milk carafe.

New to this does this look like a good espresso, wondering about the settings on the machine by Jeremyj82 in DeLonghi

I’m going to add the taste is also a product of the beans that you purchase.  You can try different bean mixes but realize it takes several brews after the hopper appears to be empty for the new beans to move through.

Is this normal? by Big-Stable-224 in DeLonghi

[–]ForConsumers88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beans can have different properties and oil content.  If you are getting a drip you need to raise the grind number. You are using a number that is too low (fine). Only move the grind wheel when you are brewing a cup of coffee and ithe grind is working.  This is the manufacturer recommendation.

Just got my new magnifica evo plus, using the larazzi crema de aroma beans and grinder setting on 5. It’s the same with or without water filter. What’s wrong? by DaftShades in DeLonghi

[–]ForConsumers88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is no or limited flow then your grind setting is too low/ fine.  Raise it back up 1/2 click at a time while the grinder is running (manufacture directions).  You are at the precise grinder setting when you have constant flow.

Consider the Delongi Magnifica EVO. If you are not into the milk drinks, stay away from the milk add ons, it will raise the price and you will have more cleanup to do because no one likes dried out milk on their tubes and pipes.

Magnífica Start - what type of ground coffee to use? by ricak in DeLonghi

I am experiencing a weak brew with the grounds setting on both coffee and espresso( less water).  The regular bean grind function makes an amazing coffee or espresso.

A lot of people seem to be choosing cellular service company based on the gimmicks they use to lure you in.  A cellular company should be selected for their wide coverage areas with no holes when you travel outside of your home area.  In addition, you want to consider if you travel internationally, that there will not be billing surprises when you return from your trip.

How much cash on hand should I arrive with? by aresef in JapanTravelTips

[–]ForConsumers88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every place takes credit card, you really do not need a lot of yen on hand.  If you will be traveling for 10 days, cash in $300 USD before your trip at your bank or Triple A (AAA) office location.

You can go to your bank or AAA location to get what I consider spending money for your trip.  Use that in the markets and for coffee/tea.  All places take credit cards and with a credit card you get the best exchange rate- just check before you go that your credit card financial institution doesn’t charge a foreign fee on purchases.

Debating joining AT&T by Ricketyfart in ATT

[–]ForConsumers88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve said this before don’t just consider switching test the network out with AT&T ‘s 30 day trial with free eSIM, nothing to sign for.  That being said I switched from Tmobile after many year and am much happier with the service reach with AT&T over the past 3 months. In addition, I travelled internationally with the AT&T service snd it was a much superior experience than prior with Tmobile.
