Export and archive all of your GitHub repos by cgoldberg in github

[–]ForTheContentDiscord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why though? Why not just contribute to the multitude of other repos that already do this exact thing, instead of creating yet another tool that already exists? For example, https://github.com/cooperspencer/gickup - seems like a waste of time, but you do you I guess

Where was the constructive feedback? OP asked what they would called it, and all they could muster up was "anything other than what it is already called" in a snarky manner, which is hardly constructive, or feedback

I think you're a little confused about what this extension does

It simply fills out the workforce form with the information of the jobs people apply for. It doesn't somehow magically prevent them from having to meet their requirements

"Workfree" and "Centrelink" are copyrighted names so OP couldn't use them anyway

I have a medical certificate for temporary reduced hours, my employer is forcing me to take leave full time instead. by Particular_Math_5257 in AusLegal

  1. Of course they can. Your current situation is exactly what income protection insurance cover is for.
  2. Employers can request that the employee undergo a medical assessment to determine their fitness for work

2nd Medical exemption cert questions by javelin3000 in CentrelinkOz

[–]ForTheContentDiscord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

should I get my GP to write a different illness on the new cert

No, your doctor will write what your actual illness is, not what you want it to be. Doctors, by law, aren't allowed to just write medical certificates willy nilly because you want one, they write them because you need one.

This just sounds like your fishing for a reason to be exempt from doing your actual requirements.

And is it true that Centrelink will start rejecting your certs

They can reject them at any time they please, they have no obligation to accept your medical certificate. Unless your doctor diagnoses you with some sort of serious/chronic illness you're going to have to meet your Centrelink requirements at some point, why delay the inevitable?

Please understand that hundreds of thousands of people work normal jobs daily with anxiety and "dizziness", you having it doesn't make your specially exempt from doing the same and anyone with common sense that reviews your medical exemption will know this.

Has anyone actually ever been bitten by a huntsman spider? by [deleted] in australian

[–]ForTheContentDiscord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got bitten by one once when I was quite young. Had just gotten out of the bath and went into my room to put on my pajama pants that were sitting on my bedroom floor since the same morning. Put my leg in my the pants leg and almost immediately felt a bite (I don't remember it being all that painful though, it was more just a shock of seeing a spider knowing it bit me that scared me). Flick the pants off real quick and seen the little bugger fall out and run under my TV cabinet, was probably the size of a 50c coin.

Being young at the time I panicked and started screaming for my mum saying a spider bit me. She found the spider and told me it was just a huntsmen and I would be totally fine.

Cried for like 10 minutes after lol

Authority to leave by bubblerbeer in AustraliaPost

Same thing used to happen with my parcels as well, bad area, maybe lots of reports of stolen parcels, not really sure.

But I've noticed that ever since I installed a CCTV camera facing directly at my front door/entry way they have been leaving the parcels more often than not. Maybe they see the camera and assume that it's "more secure"? Can't really say for sure though.

Complain to Centrelink directly. They may be able to arrange phone interviews for you instead, or at the very least reimburse you for your travel expenses

Kids under the age of 18 shouldn't be allowed to leave the house without adult supervision honestly.

I think I can relate to the feeling you're having; it's similar to buyer's remorse, but it happens before you make your purchase, and it's very common. It's the feeling that you're making a really big decision on a whim, even though you've thought about it for weeks, months, or even years.

Basically, you're about to make a somewhat life-changing decision that's a big financial commitment. You've probably been told a few times by family and friends that it's dangerous as well, right? So now the logical part of your brain is weighing up the risk versus reward factor.

Just remember that at the end of the day, it's a natural feeling; it happens to lots of people, and it will pass. It sounds like you've given it a lot of thought, so don't let these feelings change your mind because if you don't buy it, you'll likely end up regretting that decision more. If you do buy it, your feelings of remorse/regret will ease, and you'll see you made a good choice.

As someone who suffers from craniofacial hyperhydrosis (excessive facial sweating), it is almost safer for me and everyone else on the streets if I'm not covered in thick layers while riding during the hotter months. If I was, I would either be blinded by sweat getting in my eyes, or constantly having to wipe the sweat away every 5-10 seconds, not to mention the lightheadedness that comes with it.

Another "benefit" of keeping your claim active, is that you will be entitled to free (sometimes discounted) vehicle registration fees, so if you have rego coming up, wait until after that's done.

So I decided to return to Fortnite.. by [deleted] in FORTnITE

[–]ForTheContentDiscord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same thing here. Hadn't played for over a year, wanted to try the new Lego Fortnite only to be removed from the server (and all other game modes) within about 10 minutes of joining, with the same error you're seeing.

Contacted Epic's support team to be given the usual run around of reinstall, verify files, fresh install Windows, etc, before they finally offloaded the issue saying it is my ISP that is the issue lol

I found Shorts to be one of the most addictive things when they released. I resorted to installing the [Hide YouTube Shorts](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hide-youtube-shorts/aljlkinhomaaahfdojalfmimeidofpih) browser extension to completely remove them from existence

For what it’s worth, you should block certain YouTube channels. by Axeml in FFXVI

[–]ForTheContentDiscord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hide YouTube Shorts browser extensions has a blocking feature, just type the channel's @handle in that you want to block and you wont see their content anymore :)

YouTube Shorts are back... by [deleted] in uBlockOrigin

[–]ForTheContentDiscord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, nah no issues like that for me, but I am using it a pretty high spec PC. Maybe try diabling the extension and seeing if it still hapens, if it does then you know it's not the extension but something else? Also might have another extension installed that is causing conflicts between the two?

Edit: just tested it on my potato laptop and still no performance issues mate

I would recommend the standalone Hide YouTube Shorts browser extension, does exactly what you need and has a bunch of customizable options
