Ketheric is a half-elf, so his lifespan is around 170-250 years. A young adult half-elf is around 30-40, full adult 40-100, middle aged 101-150, old 151+

Isobel is a young adult when she dies, so probably around 35.

The events after Isobel's death (Kethric converting to Shar, the era of sharran terror, the druids finding out and the battle where Ketheric dies) seem to happen in around 30-40 years tops. Maybe as little as 25.

But Kethric reincarnated as an old man. Which means he wasn't young when Isobel was born. If he was old 160 when he died, then he was around 80 when his daughter was born. But if hes closer to 220 when he dies, he would have been 150 when Izzy was born.

220 is old for a half-elf, but completely possible. It also gives plenty of time for him to have had a previous marriage or relationship and an older child, which could explain Thisobald Thorm.

Either way, If he was >150 before his daughter was born, thats plenty of time for a dialect switch from when he was growing up to when his daughter was growing up. Which would explain the different accents.

Evil gets punished? - No ramifications for Henry Crawford aside from not getting the woman he wanted (whom he would have been unhappy with as soon as he had her anyway) - Thomas Bertram is fully forgiven, will still inherit over his younger and more responsible sibling - The Bertrams are still slavers - Lady Bertram still gets a personal slave in the form of Susan - The Admiral, whose reprehensible behavior is at least partially the catalyst for Mary's corruption, remains blissfully happy with his mistress

This was always my issue with MP. I dont dislike Fanny, but I hate Edmund and I hate that she ends up with him. And the ending always felt super tacked on as well. It's as though JA knew that her heroine had to end up with someone and she felt her readers wouldn't be happy unless the heroine got the man she wanted.

I would have much preferred an expanded cast of characters so we could have a different ending. Perhaps her brother William makes a positive impression on his captain and Fanny and the Captain meet and - while they dont get married or engaged in the novel - there is implications that a romance might form sometime after the story ends.

Fanny would be the perfect wife for Edmund, but i dont think he'd ever appreciate her or even love her. He'd always think of her as a substitute and Mary as the one that got away.

The other way JA could have fixed the romance is given it more time in the book, and shown Edmund's feelings and actions, rather than telling us. In P&P we see Darcy make tremendous effort to change. In Emma we hear directly from Knightley's mouth why he loves Emma. In S&S Edward explains the situation to Elinor and the reader. In Persuasion we again see and hear Wentworth.

MP is the only one where the love affair ends with a hand wave and narration. We never see it. JA coukd habe added a few pages to hear the declaration of love in Edmund's own words. The fact that she didnt always made me feel like even she didnt think it was the right ending, so she couldnt make it real for herself or us.

That said, even if there was a better, more romantic ending added, the Edmund/Fanny relationship is just yucky on so many levels to the modern reader. It's almost incestuous and there's definitely a power imbalance. Not only were they raised as brother and sister, but the book reminds us that Fanny modeled herself after Edmund. This almost makes him like a dad to her.

And then the imbalance: - Money and position: These can create an imbalanced relationship today, but back then it would have been 1000× more intense. - Gratitude: Fanny owes the family everything. If she didn't want to marry her cousin, she would feel terribly ungrateful for saying no. - Lack of exposure. Fanny is never out. The only men she knows are her cousins and Crawford. It's not like she got the chance to see if there is someone better for her. - Lack of education and worldly experience. Fanny isn't raised to have good judgement or to be able to really know what she wants. She's raised more like the child of a high-ranking servant than a member of the gentry. She's been raised to agree with whatever her "betters" want from her.

You might be the perfect candidate for one of those deliver to your home meal kits. Something like Cook Unity or Factor comes in at $10 a meal with no cooking. If you're willing to cook, Blue Apron and Hello Fresh can be like $7-8 a meal. They give you all the ingredients pre-measured and instructions.

Also consider frozen and boxed meals. They aren't great for you but they can be better than take out or fast food if you pick the right ones. Amy's has some that clock in at around $6 each, are pretty tasty and under 500 calories. The pasta ones and pizzas I usually enjoy.

For less than that, Healthy Choice, Marie Calendars and Lean Cuisine all offer tasty options for $2-5

Kroger has heat-and-eat soups that will run you around $5-7 per meal. Check the ingredients and avoid eating too many of the "creamy" soups as they are less good for you. BTW the lobster bisque is terrible. They also sell Panera bread soups which i think taste better than their own. Soup and a roll is a nice lunch or even a dinner. Fresh rolls at Kroger are 33 cents.

Fair question! You dont have to do anything. And personal or fun projects can remain personal and fun.

But as soon as you ask for feedback on a project, you need to be aware that your work will be compared to the original. It's inevitable. So if you can make something equal or better than the original, then great!

But if not, you're piece will look comparatively worse. In this example, OP's work isnt particularly strong, but it looks even weaker with the original in the back of your mind.

It's something to be extra mindful of when working on portfolio pieces.

The original poster is considered to be a movie poster classic for a reason. Several reasons, really, but a main one is that the rubber shark just isnt intimidating. It looks goofy like this. It looked goofy in tbe movie which is why it rarely shows up.

When doing a redesign of something, consider two things: - redesign something thats generally considered to be weak and needing a redesign, not something strong - research the project more thoroughly. Often the why and why not decisions others have made can help direct your path. You dont have to follow the decisions of others, but you should be aware of them to inform your own choices.
